“Mirror universe? But how is it isolated to just him?” She didn’t exactly glance back, but she tilted her head in the Captain’s direction. “Sir, I recommend immediate crew count. This one made it to medical. But if anyone else didn’t…” she let the thought trail off.

Murmuring under her breath, she shook her head as she took a half second to slip into the surgical gown held up for her. “I can’t hope we’re lucky enough to have this as the only case… “

Ghubari frowned but nodded before tapping her combadge. =/\=Koraia to Bridge. Do an immediate count of the crew and notify of me of any anomalies.=/\=

“I also suggest we do a ship-wide scan for this energy signal. It might also affect objects, not only living things,” Liam pointed out, unsure of the effects.

He shuddered inside at the damage and effects an afflicted object might cause. His attention returned to the sample. While he hoped someone else wasn’t afflicted, he needed another sample. It was the only way to narrow down how and why this officer was being affected. Until then, he tried his best to find any sort of clue.

“I can’t narrow down the causes without another afflicted subject. There are too many variables,” Liam stated with a hint of frustration in his voice.

OOC Being as Luke is on vaca and we have no one on the bridge or in science to scan, I’ll fill in.

The scan of the vessel showed that the energy signal was present in every transporter system and there were small pockets of it showing up throughout the ship in particular in areas where there was living matter such as the arboretum. The plans for the transporter inhibitor came through as well along with suggestions for how the energy field could be incorporated with the med bays stasis field systems.

“This is strange. The results show the energy signal is present in the transporter system and small parts of the ship. Most of the evidence points to it affecting living creatures.” Liam commented, his eyes now turned to the specs for the inhibitors.

He was already applying it to the medical stasis field to stabilize the patient. His peripheral vision caught the CO’s back when she rushed from the sickbay.

=^=Luka to Ghubari. There’s a second Kaylee on board, and she is out for blood. Main Conference Room.=^=

Luka, XO

A flurry of curses flew through Koraia’s mind and she didn’t hesitate to make haste outside of sickbay. She didn’t bother saying anything to those she had just been conversing with, as she expected they understood that their situation just dropped on the lower priority list. And if that changed, well, they knew how to find her to let her know. =/\=Acknowledged. On my way.=/\=

Fl. Captain Koraia, CO

Ben looked at the Captain leaving with a puzzled look “Another Kaylee?” He mumbled as he walked to the patient. SHaking his head he focused on the task at hand “Alright, we need to start removing this excess tissue to buy some time until those Transport inhibitors can be put together and brought online.” He explained putting on a grim face “Scalpel” He said putting out his hand.

Liam barely caught Ben’s mention of another Kaylee on board causing the CSO to speak.

“The Captain and security will handle it. I’m applying the information into the stasis field which should be in effect shortly,” he said.

Karina frowned. “All over the ship…”

The muttered words repeated, half whispered, over and over as she and the Doc tried to get ahead of the anomaly before them. She’d heard the Captain’s departure, but since it wasn’t her particular concern, she’d merely acknowledged that the CO was no longer present.

As she tried to imagine how to get a handle on things, a small hysterical giggle feel from her lips. “I wonder if we can use a transport inhibitor on the whole entire ship? Like a giant EMP or something that only affects the anomalies.”

It was a ludicrous and outlandish idea in her mind. But her science knowledge was limited to humanities, not circuitry. If such a thing existed, she couldn’t fathom it and want even trying.

“It could be possible, but it also fills the transporter system. I’m a bit worried about the effects that could have. Best way to do this is to run some simulations while we’re getting the patient stable and healed.”

As Liam waited for the results, he added, “I would need to contact Engineering if there’s positive results.”
