Ghubari considered this for a moment. “Don’t worry about Orvos. I will deal with anything on that front. Though if you ever have concerns about anyone or anything, i want to know. You’re my eyes and ears here, in ways that people like Stark can’t be. Hopefully, it’ll all work in our favour.” It was slightly optimistic of her, but then again so much was riding on this little mission she had put together that if she didn’t have any hope at all, she might as well give it all up now.

Marishka nodded and finished her drink. She had known people like Orvos before and he was the type of amusement she needed to keep certain abilities sharp.

“If I have any concerns I will be certain to contact you. Now our five minutes are going to be up soon and we’ll be able to hear everything going on out there, and they’ll be able to hear us. I wouldn’t worry about it though. So if you think we’ll be seeing each other often, just be certain to call the kitchen for an order and make it something you like because I have to appear with it.”

Marishka paused for a moment reviewing her thoughts.

“Oh yes. One more thing. And I don’t care if this gets overheard. I’m trying to name this lounge. Orvos has given me several interesting ideas and Stark has given me one as well. Do you have any?”

  • Marishka

Koraia sat back and pondered, her mouth creeping into a slight frown. Nothing came to mind right away, which either meant her brain wasn’t in a creative space at the moment or this wasn’t something that would matter to her heavily, in the grand scheme of things. “Nothing comes to mind just now. I’ll think it over and let you know if I come up with anything. I would like to have final approval though, but I’m… certainly open to ideas.”

Marishka nodded and smiled slightly.

“Orvos gave a good many ideas. Oasis, Hideaway, etcetera. Stark suggested Mambo’s. Something to do with you but I don’t remember what and then he said I was a Voodoo priestess or something.”

Ghubari laughed. It sounded like something Stark would say.

Marishka shrugged and smiled again.

“But I have another idea completely. Since this ship is named after the Grecian Goddess of War, and many other things, so I’ve discovered, shouldn’t it be named after her greatest temple? The Parthenon?” she asked.

  • Marishka

Tilting her head a bit, the captain considered this for a few moments before a smile slipped back onto her face. “I like that,” she said. “I say, add it to the list.” After all, a lounge on a starship was not just a lounge. It was a therapist’s office, classroom, meeting room, spiritual retreat, confessional. It fit nicely, so there was every possibility that she’d veto anything else. But, as she had told Marishka, she was open to ideas. Maybe a better name would surface.

Marishka nodded and smiled. It was what she had in mind all along and there were truly no other names to bring up. It was then that the little chime rang and the noise of the lounge began to filter in through the peacock curtains.

“So as I said Captain, the in quarters delivery service is up and running around the clock.” she explained with a wink.

  • Marishka

“Well, I’ll be interested to see how useful the crew finds it. Thank you for bringing me up to speed,” Koraia said, offering a bow of her head.

Rising to her feet, Ghubari gave Marishka one last glance before grabbing her nearly empty drink and moving off. It had been a productive chat and she was feeling better about having certain people on board. Time would tell if they could achieve their important goal.
