S’Raal continued his eyes darting here and there “We thought that it was temporal displacement that gave her, her unique abilities but now we realise that it is this time and this place that caused her to be born this way. We have to ensure her safe delivery to protect the timeline!”.

T’Pon patted him on the arm and smiled as she said: “It’s already happened S’Raal”. He went to speak in rebuttal and she just shushed him into a paralytic silence as she looked at the medical staff with almond eyes full of mystery “Shall we make history?”

T’Pon and S’Raal Cran Moonshadow

Jessica’s eyes slid over to see how Karina was taking in this information. Temporal dynamics only succeeded in making her head hurt and that was on a good day. She helped to guide the two over to the forcefield. Correct that – this whole mission had only succeeded in making her head hurt so far.

Dr. Lemann

Benjamin blinked once as he listened to her explanation. He’d only seen and treated the woman back during the crash that never happened. His eyes darted over to his office in the distance and his thoughts crossed over to the other him who decided to be unmade so that he… they could live. “Alright let’s prepare her for the inevitable. Dr. Lemann, start the biobed on a Scanning sequence, Doctor Naktal get all our prep gear ready. Doctor Moonshadow, if you want you can scrub up with me or you can simply stay by her side” He said. It was at this moment he’d rarely exchanged so many words with his predecessor since his original arrival.

Dr. Grey - CMO

S’Raal nodded his thanks for the invite. “I’ll leave it in your capable hands Dr Grey and play the role of the dutiful husband”. His first meeting with Benjamin had not been in the best of circumstances and S’Raal knew he hadn’t made the best impression, something he was determined to remedy by his show of confidence at this point. He laid a paw on T’Pon’s shoulder but there was nothing hiding the blazing furnace of adrenalin shining out from his red-tinged amber eyes.

Karina helped the others get ready then turned back to help those in such bay needing attention. With the Doc now helping establish a timeline that was gone, going to happen, and had happened… the woman absently shook her head. “Never mind, Rina,” she told herself. “You’re here, now… remember that. The rest can wait. ”

Once more her mind wandered to Julien and the hope that he was all right. She wasn’t sure why, but the man seemed more and more in get thoughts every day.

T’Pon was concentrating hard, feeling the bond she had forged with the youngster within. There were two bodies but one mind, she pushed away the impossibility of that fact and accepted for what it was, fact. “This would be easier if you were one” she projected in the hopes that Meryidiyth would comply.

T’Pon (Gardener)

Jessica partially attended to the dynamic between the CMO and Moonshadow as she followed her superior’s orders to start the scanning sequence on the biobed. She hadn’t been on the ship long enough to be aware of whatever undercurrent seemed to be present in the interaction, but it was interesting to take note of. She filed it away to ask the CMO later, when things had calmed down dramatically. As the biobed beeped its assent to her orders, she visually checked over T’Pon, noting that she seemed to be lost in the moment and not wishing to disturb her with any further questions. Instead, she patiently waited for the scans to finish so she could report back to the CMO.

Dr. Lemann

The scans showed a process in motion that by all intents and purposes should have been impossible. One of the babies showed a faint transporter signature and using another form of energy freely between her and her sister she absorbed herself inside her twin and brought their combined super dense mass into symmetry that allowed them to exist in one space simultaneously. The scan also showed that the “babies” head was down and engaged and that T’Pon was beginning to show dilation. The process was well underway.

T’Pon sighed as she mind-melded with her daughter “Thank you Meryidiyth,” she breathed, “Much better”.

Benjamin looked curiously between the now raised legs of the Vulcan and his tricorder “Interesting” He put the scanner down at a nearby table “One of my first duties on a starship was delivering a baby, my fellow doctors called me ‘the baby whisperer’ for years afterward.” He said seemingly absentminded “Let’s hope I haven’t lost my touch eh?” It was as if he was speaking to the yet unborn babies and not any of the people surrounding him. “All right, I’m beginning to see dilation,” He said calmly. Compared to what he had been doing this was positively relaxing “Doctors Leman and Niles, I’ll assume that this your first Vulcan/Catian hybrid child aswell” He said with a smile that was hard to classify “What are your recommendations?” He asked in a rather professorial tone. Mixed species births were always harder as there were fewer examples to compare each pregnancy to, he knew enough about Vulcan and Catian births to make some educated guesses and scanners helped, but nothing compared to having other professionals give advice.
