“They have to think we have everything they don’t want us to have, and I would suggest perhaps making this in a location that makes them more willing to try and sneak to. The less likely they feel they will get caught, the more likely they will try that area.” Konral added, knowing that a very public location might cause the agent pause in trying to get the information.

“Where would you suggest Konral?”. Stark was racking his brains but had come up a blank.

“We also have to consider that there are civilians on this ship. Innocents who haven’t signed up for back room spy antics. Whatever we do, we have to be mindful of how it might impact the whole ship,” Ghubari said tensely.

“I agree, perhaps a location such as conference room? Location that feels logical for sensitive information but average civilians shouldn’t be anywhere near. Especially if we plant this all shortly after a meeting, to add to the mystique.”

Ghubari nodded, partly to Konral, partly to herself. There was a nervous tension radiating from her and she couldn’t help but pace about their quarters as she tried to calculate all the permutations of the dangerous situation. But at least this was ne she had willingly chosen to throw herself into. FOr that, she could be grateful.

“I’d suggest we pick carefully who we let in on this and where and when we talk about it,” Stark said musing out loud his whiskers twitching, “There are a few shielded spots on the shop where we can speak freely, I’m still convinced we have a mole, a clever one”.

“Then… maybe a shell game? We could try several conferences, for different groups of people. Each with varying information as to no one really having the full picture. If there is a mole they won’t have the full details, if there isn’t then no one should be talking from outside the groups. Then if there is a mole who wants the data they can then come back after the meeting and try for it.”

Vasder, CoS

“There are some definite advantages to a shell game, the only downside is monitoring multiple points. However, we have enough people on this to get the job done.” Stark paused, “That leads me to the next conundrum… who to include in this sting?”.

Pausing in her pacing, Ghubari help up a thumb and then her index finger as she thought through this logically. “Julien and Marishka. They are here because I need them to be and they are not only experienced but also hiding in plain sight. For now I don’t want to this piece of our game to be too broadly known. I think layers of knowledge spread unevenly will be the best way to go. With some exception, of course,” she said, gesturing to Konral and Stark.

Nodding Stark’s eyes became intense, “We’ve got to make this count then. Once Julien and Marishka are involved they’ll be quite likely exposed as the sting progresses. Now I know they can both handle themselves but I’m worried about collateral damage. If it comes down to a pitched battle with someone onboard I want it to be where we want it and on our terms”.

“There is only so much we can narrow down, we just have to do this in small pieces but if we manage it slowly we can do this. With you and me, and Ghubari we have enough people that know how to handle themselves well… I think we can make it and worst comes to worst we can arm the other two if needed. ”

Vander, CoS

Stark smiled at the thought of arming Marishka and Julien who were essentially armed at all times anyway. “Ok, so now we need to think of what we dangle and where and when”.
