T’Pon lurched as the sedative hypo hit her system, tears were pouring down her face as she slumped into unconsciousness and a pool of blood started to form from a vaginal tear she had caused from her exertions.

T’Pon

=/\=Dr Grey I suspect the kidnapper, whoever they are, is escaping in a shuttle as we speak =/\= The Captain’s voice was calm but unfortunately it was the last thing T’Pon heard before becoming unconscious.

The communication didn’t even register in Jessica’s psyche as she focused on T’Pon, her eyes rapidly flicking between the vital signs displayed on the biobed monitor and the face of her patient, ensuring that they matched up to her satisfaction. She snatched the blood transfusion kit from Grey, her hands quickly moving through the process of getting it set up and starting to administer it. “You repair the damage, I’ll keep her going,” she murmured to the other doctor, her voice cool and calm as she steadily focused on the woman.

Dr. Lemann

Her pulse was thready and she was losing a lot of blood partially brought on by a huge adrenalin rush and internal tearing.

Benjamin went to work immediately, opening the Vulcan up and started repairing the internal damage with care, the problem with Vulcan’s post-birth was the location of their hearts, where the Human Liver was, during pregnancy Organs get shuffled around and with so much bleeding this might be a problem. Hell, it probably was.

Leaving Grey to his task, Jessica rocked back and forth on her heels as the transfusion began. She tweaked the settings slightly to have it transfuse at the maximum rate given the situation. The tearing was being taken care of and the sedative would hopefully begin to bring the woman’s heart rate down as well. She lightly brushed T’Pon’s forehead in sympathy. What a terrible series of events…

Dr. Lemann

T’Pon’s vital’s started to stabilise but there was internal bleeding that needed to be sealed off dangerously close to several important organs. There was obvious residual damage from having carried a “shapeshifter” to term. the continual stretching and then release of Meryidiyth’s transformations had put a strain on T’Pon’s internal organs.

As her hand touched T’Pon’s forehead a telepathic communication was passed. Impossibly T’Pon’s subconscious was still in contact with Meryidyith. Baby eyes were fixed on a screen in front of her past Lieutenant Parce where a crazed British looking gentleman was shouting. “Bring the child to me at Rura Penthe’s auxiliary shuttle bay, we may yet salvage something from this for the Conclave”.

Parce nodded “Right you are Dr Hamilton”.

Then the link was broken.

Jessica’s hand froze atop T’Pol’s forehead, her four fingers still making light contact. Not a telepath or experienced with the concept, the images coursing through her mind were beyond disconcerting and her face ashened as it played out. As the link broke, she snatched her hand back up and reached out to grab the CMO, only managing to stop herself moments before jostling him while he conducted the surgery. She blurted out, “they’re taking the shuttle to Rura Penthe’s auxiliary shuttle bay.”

Dr. Lemann

Benjamin looked up from his work for a moment and gave Lemann an odd expression before turning back to his work “I don’t know how you know but call the Bridge and let them know.” He had gotten to the internal bleeding and was trying to repair the damage “Suction” He ordered his nurse as the blood got in the way.

The suction revealed the source of the issue, an arterial tear near where the placental wall had been situated.

Jessica’s face was still spectacularly pale as she nodded to Grey. Her hand reached for her comm badge as she took a quick but deep breath to steady herself.

=/\= Lemann to Bridge. The shuttle is en route to Rura Penthe’s auxiliary shuttle bay. =/\=

Dr. Lemann

=/\=Acknowledged, Sickbay. Bridge out.=/\=

With a better view of what was happening to his patient Benjamin went to work. He started by repairing the damaged arterial damage whilst making sure that nothing akin to a bloodclot or worse would form, although these days such things were easy to fix. Even a hundred years ago this was a fairly simple operation.

T’Pon quickly started to improve as normal circulation was restored. Her brain waves were showing anomalous readings. Although she was out cold, her brain waves suggested that on some level she was still conscious.

Ceres was still lying on a biobed recuperating but there was a frown on his Asian face. “Doc, I’ve played racquetball with Lieutenant Parce many times… for him to suddenly kidnap a child like that… why would he do that?”.

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

Benjamin was busy cleaning up and reading the brain readings when Ceres spoke up “Lieutenant Parce?” He stopped what he was doing and looked back “I’m afraid I don’t know, He’s a fine doctro and a good officer, or so I thought” Benjamin sighed, reached for his locket, opened the small lid and inhaled deeply. After a moment he had calmed down “Doct…” He paused and turned to Lemann “Jessica how did you know where the child was?” He asked the junior doctor.

Her task of notifying the bridge complete, Jessica had returned to the task of caring for her patient, although she did notice herself to be avoiding brushing T’Pon’s forehead again. She noted with satisfaction that the woman’s vital signs were stabilizing based on the work that Grey was doing, but that she was still conscious on some level. She blew a breath out, which did nothing to lift the sticky-with-sweat blonde hair from her forehead. She was about to mention it when Grey had noticed it for himself and, as he addressed her, turned her eyes to focus on him.

A sardonic smile crept onto her face as she sighed. “T’Pon is still telepathically linked with her child,” she explained, using a hand to gesture at the monitor with the brain waves. “When I brushed my hand across her forehead, I… peeked in on the link?” A rare dose of hesitance filled her voice as a clearly uncomfortable look graced her features. As a human, telepathy was not something she really understood beyond the basics.

Dr. Lemann

Ben opened his mouth to speak but closed it almost immediately and looked at the Vulcan for a good moment “Well that would explain these neurological readings” He pointed at the Bio-monitor. His hand raised itself automatically and he barely managed to stop himself from reaching over No, I’m not just gonna check He mentally admonished himself “OK let me check you out” He grabbed his tricorder and popped out the wand, waving it near Lemann’s head.
