Orvos replied to the captain. =/\=Understood. He’s here on Rura Penthe. We’ll find him.=/\=

As she had turned to go Merri had heard the messages coming in and quickly turned back to the screen. “My mother and I have a connection but I hadn’t counted that my other self would have further amplified that connection”.

She turned and headed for the shuttle.

Picard tugged his coat slightly rubbed his nose and addressed Koraia again, “I wanted to thank you Captain for getting involved in a fight that for all intents and purposes was not your own. Is it true that the Prophets brought you here?”

Ghubari went to speak but stood there uncertain for a moment. A brief moment, anyway. “Depends on how you look at it, I suppose,” she said openly. “One could say I had an… experience that matches what a lot of people have had during an orb experience, and I certainly spoke to someone with convincing reality. Whether that being was a Prophet or not, well, that is up for interpretation and personal Faith.” Her Faith was strong these days, though certainly not unshakeable. And she certainly couldn’t begrudge others their beliefs, but the being she spoke to she had fully understood as being Captain Benjamin Sisko. He was a mortal Human. The fact that he currently existed in a different plane of existence didn’t mean he was a god. But she certainly wasn’t going to say that aloud.

Va’rek stepped onto the Bridge and managed to suppress the awe he always felt at the back of his mind. Something about the Bridge of a Starship always struck a chord in him, though he would never allow such a feeling to be readable in his body language. Thus, he moved with precision to one of the engineering stations and began entering commands at the terminal, routing a minutely small percentage of extra power to the sensors and calibrating for sharper focus. As he worked, he bent his attention to will himself to focus solely on his duties.

The intensity of the focus drew Koraia’s attention, but only briefly before she looked back at the viewscreen.

Picard smiled at her comments but the Vulcan woman seemed to look a little disapproving of his smile. “Difficult to quantify isn’t it,” he said quietly hinting at having had a similar experience.

Merri arrived on the bridge looking a little breathless, “Reporting for duty, Captain” she said with a small wink.

Ghubari looked over their guest with an unreadable expression. She knew better than to give away too much here, but it was most definitely on the strange side to have encountered a second version of this person long before she had even met the child version. “Welcome aboard the Athena. Now, how is it that you can help? What about the Orb?”
