My family and I came out of the Covid19 crisis in China to return to NZ to help her Mum who nearly died from of all things a bacterial respiratory disease(long story), now the blasted virus has followed us to NZ and were going into lockdown for 4 weeks. I need another day to situate parents, get them groceries etc. I hope to be up and writing again another 24hrs from now, sorry for the delay.

No worries here Ian! Taking care of the family is supremely important! I hope it all goes well and that you are all able stay safe. Praying for the best my friend!

Take care, Ian. Hope your preparations go as smoothly as possible with everything going on.

Thank you :-) Workers in the supermarket who looked at me with fear when I came back two months ago (that was after we did 14 days self-isolation off our own bat) were coming up to me today to hear stories of my friends in China who are now slowly being able to go out again (school is still online for me so at least I can still make a living). Amazing how much an “it will get better” story is appreciated by poor people dealing with panic buyers. Parents situated, groceries bought (for now) and let’s get to some escapist writing :-) The S’Raal in me looked after the grocery store people and the Stark in me came out when a cheeky shopper tried to cut me off to get to the spinach I was buying for my recovering Mother-in-law :-) Grrr. I hope you’re all doing great in your part of the world and on behalf of China, I’m so very, very sorry.

I can’t speak for everyone, but this could have happened anywhere, at anytime. I’m glad you’re getting settled again, but I totally understand how things are going to be up in the air at various times. You’re all good. hugs

~Linds

Thanks,
Ian
