He waved his hands slightly in mock horror, “Extra classes, I’m in the presence of greatness.” He looked out into the stars and then back again. “The only thing I ever took extra classes in was the study of the inside of my eyelids.” He grinned, “I find the inside of my eyelids extremely fascinating”.

“I would have thought you’d have found even more interesting things to study than the inside of your eyelids,” Viyara countered with a raised eyebrow and a somewhat provocative smile. After taking her uniform jacked off and tossing it on one of the other chairs, she leaned forward to get closer to Paul again and whispered, “Or has your mind conjured up anything interesting while you studied the inside of your eyelids?”

Giving a slight guffaw his eyes sparkled, “My imagination is vivid beyond belief but in all my wildest dreams upon the seas I have never dreamed up the likes of you my dear, you are quite utterly fascinating, I may never sleep again”.

For a moment or two, Viyara simply looked mischievously and somewhat knowingly at Paul. She then asked, “What will you do with all the time on your hands if you never sleep again? Apart from daydreaming and work?” While studying him closely, she was not only wondering what he might answer, but also what he might be up for in order to pass the time till they arrived on the Starbase. While she generally wasn’t afraid of getting rejected, things were a little different with just the two of them. After all, if she went to far too quickly, the remainder of their journey could potentially become uncomfortable. And if she could pick, she’d always much rather enjoy herself and feeling awkward around someone else. Especially in such close quarters.

Without even so much as a hesitation, he replied “I’d gaze into your eyes until death took me”, then he grinned, “but I have to turn away again for a moment to make a course correction” he said as he did so now with his back to her slightly, “But only so I can keep us both alive so I can keep starring into your eyes you see”, he turned back again “All done, now where were we?”
