People began to emerge from the ready room a few minutes later and Ghubari was not far behind her XO and Niles. “Do we have the adjustments in place?” she asked, moving to the centre seat. “If so, signal to the Enterprise and Excalibur that we’re ready to go and they can do their thing.” She glanced at Commodore Stone. “You know Commodore, I’m kind of put out. Your presence here ruins my big entrance,” she said with a tiny hint of a smirk.

Stone harrumphed but his eyes glinted with humour, “You’ll get your grand entrance Captain, by now the Starbase will be in a fit of apoplexy wondering where the hell I am as well as the Athena, this will be one for the history books, at this rate you’ll suplant Kirk”.

Koraia snorted. “What, our previous history-making missions we can’t talk about don’t count?”

On screen Excalibur, Enterprise and Eddington’s ship moved into a triangular formation around the wormhole coordinates.

Luka was quiet, moving over to give a cursory glance over the science station, just to have something to do in the moment.

Va’rek came onto the bridge and took one of the secondary engineering stations for the later half of his shift.

Thollin had been sort of disappointed when he learned that the three mirror universe vessels were going to initiate the deflector pulse. He had parked himself near the operations station, hovering over the officer and helping with some minor modifications to the ship’s inertial dampeners. He wanted this ride through the wormhole to be a lot smoother than his first.

Thollin, Eng.

Having a look over Thollin’s shoulder, Va’rek casually remarked “The inertial dampeners should be balanced against the structural integrety field frequency modulation, if you modify one, you must modify the other.”

“Are we ready to go?” Ghubari called out.
