“No problem,” Viyara called up as she slightly adjusted her position and all. “Pay attention to your legs and when needed push yourself slightly off the wall. I don’t want you to get hurt.” That said, she started to slowly lower Juvri back to the ground and it wouldn’t be long till the other woman had solid rock under feet again. Walking over to her she asked, “Are you okay? Did you get hurt?” Her buoyant, nonchalant attitude seemed suddenly a little subdued and concern flickered in her mismatched eyes for a short moment before she hit it behind her charming smile.

“I’m alright,” Juvri said, looking down at her hands. It seemed she was, the most that had happened were the red marks on her palms from climbing the rocks - something a more experienced climber likely wouldn’t even notice. “That was pretty fun!” She said looking up at Viyara and smiling. “Thanks for talking me into it!”

“Good,” Viyara replied with wide smile as she moved even closer to Juvri. “You did very well. Especially for someone who has never done this before.” Without asking, she reached for one of Juvri’s hands and started to gently massage her fingers, her palm, the back of her hand and her wrist.

“Oh- Hey! What’re you doing?” said Juvri, though she made no effort to pull her hand away. Instead, she simply gave Viyara a sort of bewildered look. But the impromptu hand massage did help with the soreness from her first climb.

Locking her eyes with Juvri’s, Viyara replied, “Just trying to make sure your hands don’t get sore.” She smiled softly, but there seemed to be … more in her smile and her voice than simply being altruistic and caring for her well-being. Though for once Viyara wasn’t flirting consciously or on purpose. Which made it much subtler and less straight forward than usual.

“O-oh. It, um, it’s pretty effective,” she said, and her eyes flicked up and down Viyara before meeting the other woman’s gaze. She seemed… quite a lot calmer than before. To her rather oblivious mind, it seemed Viyara had simply toned down the flirting, but at the same time, that made her nervous for reasons she could not identify. But it was a different kind of nervous than normal. “Thanks, Viyara…” she added, risking a small smile.

“My pleasure Juvri,” Viyara replied, still smiling. Letting go of her hand, she reached for Juvri’s other hand and gave it a thorough massage as well. With a slightly raised eyebrow and her smile turning a little lopsided, she asked, “Would you like to try again or do something else?”

~Ensign Nazeen, Scientist

“Let’s try again. Maybe this time, you can climb too, and we can see who reaches the top first? Like a race!” She said, and smiled. “Sound fun?” She thought it seemed like something Viyara would enjoy. And honestly, it sounded like fun to her as well. When she got her hands back, she stretched them and then looked up at the rock cliff.

“It does,” Viyara grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. With a brief command she created a hologram who would take her place to secure Juvri. “Unless you want to attempt free climbing?” she asked as she handed the rope with which she had secured the other woman to the hologram; a pretty average looking man in his mid-twenties with short brown hair and green eyes, dressed in typical climbing attire.

“I’d rather stay on the side of caution… I did fall off last time.” Juvriaid, glancing at the hologram man. Then she looked back to Viyara. “Alright, let’s get ready to race!” She said, smiling.

OOC: The hologram is a man ;P

IC:
“Alright!” Viyara replied with a wide grin as she stepped towards the face of the rock. Once Juvri was all set and ready to start again, she wiggled her eyebrows and asked, “What does the winner get?”

~Ensign Nazeen, Scientist

OOC: Oop, that’s what I get for not paying attention. Aha. Edited.

Juvri frowned. “Uhh, well, I hadn’t thought about that.” Before she could think about the consequences of her words, she asked Viyara, “What do you think a fitting prize would be?” And as soon as the words made their way out, she hoped Viyara wouldn’t think of anything too crazy.

Viyara almost said ‘a kiss’, but stopped herself before the words came out of her mouth. Instead she tilted her head to the side and thought about it for a moment. She then said, “How about the winner gets to decide where we go next? On the holodeck or anywhere on the station?”
