The Vulcan nodded at Thollin, pleased at the man’s work. Then he looked up at the View screen, ready to see the stars of home.

With the three ships in Honor Guard Formation the wormhole opened its majestic maelstrom to recieve them.

=/\= Fair travels =/\= came over the comms from Eddington followed by a cheeky =/\= Until we meet again =/\=

“Never would be too soon.” R’han said in a voice too low to be heard by audio picups.

R’han

Ghubari couldn’t help but grin, especially as she agreed. Opening the ship wide comm, she addressed her crew. =/\=All crew, this is the Captain. We’re about to enter another anomaly to take us home. It should be smooth sailing, but just in case, take precautions. Koraia out.=/\=

“Helm, take us in,” the captain said, resting her arms on the arms of her command chair. Another day, another win. But the costs were to be tallied later. At least, as far as she knew, she hadn’t lost any of her crew this time. Small mercies.

Thollin braced himself and took a deep breath. His last passed through the wormhole had seriously unsettled his stomach. He hoped the modifications would prevent anymore space sickness on his second passage.

The sensors started to register a strong source of neutrinos, ionised hydrogen and theta radiation along with quantum level fluctuations. The dark spot in the middle of the view screen exploded into a whirling maelstrom, a very large wormhole, dark purple and lavender in alternating coruscating colours.

As they sailed into it there was a strange sensation, as if they were being stretched in all directions at once.

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

Luka closed her eyes against the sensation, wincing slightly. It was not pleasant.

Luka, XO

Thollin took a deep breath and focused on the panel in front of him. A sharp feeling of panic rose in his chest, making each breath increasingly difficult as his heart pounded in his ears.

Thollin, Eng.

It was unlikely (but not impossible) that anyone would notice the strange and distant look on the CO’s face. It was like she wasn’t even there. And like before when this whole mess started, she actually wasn’t- at least not in the way people might assume. For her, the passage through the anomaly was taking on a whole different aspect.

Almost as soon as it began it was over and the feeling of being stretched throughout time and space subsided. However they hadn’t arrived back at their starting point near the Ion Nebula. they had in fact come into existance barely three kilometers from the Starbase. There was a startled silence and then the comm started beeping insistently as the Starbase tried to contact them.

It would be at this point that Athena’s Captain would realise that there was a baseball in her right hand. It was enscribed with, “A Prophetic Gift” and had the moniker in flowing script underneath “Sisko”.

OOC Anyone who wants to self sim a prophetic encounter please feel free just as we did when we went across. Welcome back everyone :-)

Luka sighed with relief as they were back to normal space. Seeing the Captain a little off kilter, she gestured to the Comms station. “Comms, answer them.”

Luka, XO

=^=Starbase, this is the Athena, transmitting identification code and IFF. =^= R’han, “I’m not about to get destroyed by a friendly starbase in our own universe.”

R’han

Sounds filtered through to her again and Ghuari blinked. The weight of the baseball sat in her hand, pulling her fully back into the present. The baseball. How? But then again she understood that it mattered little. Tossing the small, hard ball upwards, she got it easily in her dark hand and smirked. All in a day’s work, right? She looked over at Luka. “Apparently, Sisko gives souvenirs…”

Thollin was still holding on, his eyes squeezed shut tightly as he swallowed down a wave of bitter tasting bile. He opened his eyes and began to relax, focusing intently on his breathing. His stomach was still doing flip flops however. The bridge had returned to its normal operations, and he felt conspicuously out of place. Deciding that it was time to leave, he quietly made his way to the turbolift. He had already decided to go to sickbay for an anti-nausea drug.

Thollin, Eng.

=/\= Athena, we recognize and welcome you back, you don’t happen to have Commander Stone aboard do you… we appear to have lost him =/\=

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

Koraia looked over to her left and gave the Commodore a smile. “Indeed we do. I can assure you the Commodore is safe and sound. Request clearance and location to dock.”

Fl. Captain Koraia, CO

R’han spared a slight smile, but took a look at the scanner reports just to assure himself that the Base wasn’t luring with friendly talk to blow them up easier.

R’han

The scan came back showing nothing unusual other than residual radiation from their entry through the wormhole which had since vanished. Stone stepped into the picture to reassure the Lieutenant on duty that he was, in fact, unharmed.

=/\= Good to have you back sir, You gave us quite a scare. Athena, you are clear to dock we’ll send you the coordinates. Are you in need of repairs? =/\=

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

There hadn’t even been time to double-check their status other than they just had to get the hell our of that Universe. “Possible. I’ll have my team send over a list of anything we need,” Ghubari said.

Rising to her feet, the captain glanced at Stone before looking at Luka. “I’m going to check on things in Sickbay. You have the bridge.”

And with that, Koraia left the bridge, fingers still wrapped around the baseball.

OOC: And unless Ian has other details to wrap up, I do believe that is the more formal end of our sim! (Correct me if I’m wrong, Ian). Except more info about post-sim stuff from Miriam and I shortly.
