Nexus Orvos eyed Janna thoughtfully. “It would only change yours and Mr. Nightstalker’s history. Time does not exist here, therefore when you disappeared, time for you stopped. For those involved, it would simply cause the lot of you to no longer be halted within history.”

Orvos put a closed fist before Janna. Slowly, he turned and opened it, revealing a small yellow ball of light as silent as the distant stars seen in the night sky. “This is yours, and it’s called time. The question you must answer is…what are you going to do with it? Spend the rest of your life here, but exploring all the possibilities of what could have happened? You could very well live out the most joyful times imaginable, if you so wished. Or will you use that time outside of here, to not only continue to age and resume your life, but to save the one you seem to care so deeply about?”

She did care. That much Janna had become aware of. Her mind slipped back to that first day when Orvos took her to the holodeck and he tried to unravel the essence of who she was through surroundings she might choose. It was a very therapist thing to do, but she understood just enough about herself to know that she had intrigued him with her inability t make it so simple for him. She was drawn to him, sure, but more than that? It seemed silly. And yet, she felt a fundamental ache at the thought of something happening to him.

He gently touched Janna’s hand to bring it to the light. Orvos then gently gave it to her, his one hand keeping hers steady. Guinan simply watched as the typical El Aurian would do.

Mouth drawn open in slight awe, Janna glanced at Stark as she carefully held the light. She had no desire to stay here in this dreamworld anymore. “Will you hate me if I pull us away?” she asked Stark. “We have to go. Orvos needs us to.”

Stark’s eyes were unreadable but his tone was not, “Orvos needs us to, and we need to as well. I could no more hate you for it than I could hate myself, let’s go”.

Orvos eyed the duo. “You will need to go back to a time before you first met Kivon. Orvos will not have any idea where you have been. The only ones who will know are you two, so keep that in mind. Just focus your mind on a place or time I will answer any other questions you may have.”

“Before we first met Kivon? Like immediately before or earlier than that?” Janna asked, looking to Stark to see if he had other questions that might help them puzzle out their next move. All the while she held the light of time carefully n her hands- it was precious and she knew she had to protect it.

“And how do we make sure we arrive together?” Stark said before adding, “and what can you tell us about what we need to do when we get there?”
