Lounge - The Setting

Posted Nov. 17, 2020, 11:43 p.m. by Civilian Marishka (Lounge Host) (Catt Bennett)

Anybody who entered the lounge would be able to tell that much time and care had been taken in it’s design.

The walls gleamed with white marble pillared like the Greek Parthenon. The overall theme was of elegant stone and marble work of ancient Greece.

The floor was a dark lustrous wood but could still be walked upon without barely a foot fall being heard. The massive bar was set to one side made of ebony with a marble top that tended towards the grays and silvers. The middle of the room could accommodate a large number of tables done in various shapes with a light wood.

The stage was set at the other end with curtains of peacock feathers partially drawn unless it was in use. One of the lounge’s crowning jewels was Captain Ghubari’s piano which sat proudly in the center of the orchestral box at the front of the stage.

The kitchen was out of sight but could easily be found if one listened hard enough.

If a patron aske the server for a table code they would be shown how to get the curtains to drop around their tables for twenty minutes of privacy. Rumor had it that this had already elicited several proposals and romantic liaisons.
