Benjamin smiled slightly “Excluding the healing bruises and scrapes of course” He said calmly, she seemed to wish to avoid any further medical related discussions “Please lie down” He walked to the side of the bed, tapping at the Biobeds scanner, if she wouldn’t speak then a more detailed test was in order. This was going to be either interesting or fun, perhaps both.

Still sitting upright, Viyara looked Benjamin deep in the eyes (if he let her) and smiled, “I’m sorry I forgot about the bruises and scrapes. I don’t even notice them anymore and it was a minor accident.” Deciding to go with truth, while omitting a tiny detail, she continued, “I went rock climbing and at one point payed closer attention to the person I was with as it was their first time, than to where I placed my hand. My right hand slipped as some rocks loosened and I bumped against the side of the mountain with the left side of my body.” She paused for a short moment, pondering how to continue from here on and eventually said, “As for the information from my medical file: None of them are recent and all have healed well and quickly.” She hoped that he would be fine with that explanation and just clear her for duty, but she had a nagging feeling that this doctor wouldn’t let her go as easily as some of his colleagues had in the past.

Benjamin lowered the wand and placed it into the tricorders holster and put the device itself under his coat “Well this looks good, now if you could please lie down” He moved to the end of the bed and started tapping at the Computer screen “Do you often lose focus during dangerous activities such as rock climbing?” He asked.

Managing to hold back an exasperated sigh, Viyara finally complied and lied down on the biobed. ‘Why couldn’t he be like most doctor’s she had met and be fine with a simple scan and then send her on her way again?’, she wondered silently. Turning her head, one eyebrow raised, she looked straight at Benjamin again and replied bluntly, “No, I don’t. I’m usually on my own or with someone who is as experienced as I am. But this time I went with someone who never went rock climbing before. While it was a very easy climb for me, it wasn’t for them of course and at one point I made a rookie mistake: Looking down at my climbing partner while reaching for the next handhold.” She shrugged slightly, wondering why he made such a big deal out of what was a minor accident.

OOC: Is there anything in particular you’re looking for now that she’s lying on the biobed?

Benjamin started a basic deep dive scan for microfractures and other micro-injuries the tricorder would not detect “Well that’s an understandable mistake” He said giving his patient a brief smile “Hopefully it’s one you’ve learned from”

OOC: No he’s just being a stubborn ass, making Viyara jump through a few hoops for being slow to share information.

OOC: Well, she deserves it, lol

IC:
“I have, yes,” Viyara said, her most charming smile back in place. All the while she tried not to fidget and show how uncomfortable all these scans really made her. So to distract both of them she asked, “Do you ever do fun and exciting things like that?” Meanwhile the more detailed scans showed all the healed fractures very clearly and from the look of it some of the oldest (the fracture of her wrist and tibia) hadn’t been treated with an osteoregenrator and instead had been set and then healed on their own. The scan would also show that she was in very good shape and that she had a strong immune system. Grey would also notice a few small scares in various places and of course the large number of tattoos that covered her body.

Benjamin examined the results quietly for a moment before answering her question “We all have varying interpretations of fun and excitement. I prefer a quiet drink and a good story.” He said opening the biobed so the Trill could sit up once more “I do however enjoy a good sparring session be it fencing or hand to hand but I’ve found more than enough excitement in the fleet to last me a lifetime.” He smiled slightly then turned around and grabbed a small medical device aiming it at her left hip where the bruises were healing, a slight purple light glowed “This will treat the remaining bruises, any leftover soreness should fade by the end of the day.”

The treatment took less than a minute as her wounds had already healed quite a bit by themselves. He gently turned her right hand around and used another similar device to make the faint scrape traces disappear “These types of injuries can heal themselves that much is true but even a mild abrasion can lead to infection and bruising can be indicators of any number of medical issues.” There was no trace of scolding in his tone “With this out of the way you are fit for duty, so unless you have any questions for me I release thee” He said taking a step to the side.
