Liam just sighed, his eyes narrowed as he looked underneath the works stations. All the junior officers had retired for the night. This left him alone when he spotted an open habitat. One of the study specimens had been accidentally released into the labs and had free roamed all over the place. It was only a matter of time before it chewed wires or bit someone.

Naturally, he requested assistance from Security an hour ago. He sighed again then stood upright, his eyes peeled for the creature.

Security had sent Juvri, a rookie Officer, down to science to deal with Liam’s escaped specimen. It was delegated to her as grunt work of sorts, the sort of thing others in security didn’t want to deal with, but honestly, this task seemed much more up Juvri’s alley than other sorts of jobs Security was expected to do. She headed down the hall with a joyful bounce in her step.

Arriving at the Science lab she’d been called to, she headed into the door and looked to Liam. “There was a call about an escaped specimen?” She asked cheerily.
