Marishka’s sultry voice sent goosebumps down his spine. Indeed, why had he come down here of all places? Sure, she tantalized him in a very physical sense, but why come down here to build the tension? His quarters were simply that, his quarters. There wasn’t much work he felt like doing in there. It was his retreat after all. This, not so much. But he obviously wasn’t about to share that here.

“Really I thought I’d be able to focus on my work here, but…” he said as he turned his eyes toward her, trying to swallow so obviously. “It’s proving to be a bit distracting here too.”

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

If Marishka taunted Orvos and suggested that he run away, he might just do that and she was having far too much fun in his company, not to mention the effect it was having on Julien.

“Do you require a bit of privacy my engineer?” she purred only semi professionally.

“I could make that happen.”

  • Marishka

Bump

OOC: Apologies for the delay.

IC: Orvos paused, his mind unable to fully compute things around him…that is, everything but Marishka. He gave a mock laugh, perhaps in challenge to her statement. “I doubt you could do that here.” He remained seated, curious to how she would react.

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

A slow smile spread across Marishka’s features, her silvery eyes never left Orvos’ face. Slowly, she stood like a serpent uncoiling. Leaning forward, she reached to the middle of the table and, with one lustrous burgundy fingernail, tapped a lightning fast series of commands into the mosaic marble before sitting down again.

Orvos froze, the motion she made seeming familiar to him.

Quickly a curtain of peacock feathers descended around the table and a small chime rang. In the small space the curtains had created, all was quiet.

“Do I stay or do I go my engineer?” she asked casually.

  • Marishka

He eyed her. There was a part of him that did want her to go. In fact, running would have been better. But there was another part of him that didn’t want her to go. A part of him that was curious what kind of a woman she really was. A flirt? Perhaps. But he doubted things would escalate in such a way where he could say that his body had acted appropriately to the closed screen. Or…was there something else?

He leaned back, trying not to give any ground to his perceptions. “What would you like to do?” he inquired.

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

Oh no. Marishka wasn’t letting him have this one. She shook her head sharply which caused the long ear rings to flutter at her jawline and a small section of hair to fall across her forehead.

“You wanted privacy, I gave it to you so, in essence, I have done what I like to do, as you put it. Clearly the next move is yours but I’ve always found chess boring.” she said casually.

  • Marishka

Orvos grinned and leaned forward. “Then let’s play a different game.” He gestured to the a seat opposite him at the table. “Well, then. Take a seat and let’s change the game.”

He folded his hand in front of him as he waited for her response.

“Two truths and a lie. We each in turn share two things true about ourselves, one thing that is a lie.” He lifted his eyebrows indicating she could give her own thoughts. “To make it more interesting, each time someone guesses wrong, they take a shot of whatever you have on hand right now.”

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

Marishka knew this could be downright dangerous but she was definitely up for the task.

“The only think I have on me right now is what’s left in this pitcher and I certainly don’t want to break the spell by leaving to get something else. Shall I ask one of my staff to bring us something or will the rest of the scorpion’s kiss do? Because I accept your challenge Orvos.” she said sliding into the seat across from him.

  • Marishka

Bump again.

OOC: Thanks for the bump, and sorry for the delay.

IC: “The rest of the scorpion’s kiss will do just fine,” he said with a confident grin. “I hope you can handle your liquor.” He then gestured to the glasses on the table.

“Feel free to pour the first round my dear! Lady’s choice as to who goes first.” He kept his eyes on her, his mind now focusing on the game rather than her alluring form.

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

Marishka poured each glass to the top making them as equal as she could with a practiced ease. Smiling, she set the bottle down and sat back in her seat. Her silver eyes studied him for a few seconds.

“You called the game so I shall go first.”

She waited a few more seconds as if in deep thought. Her features settled before she spoke again.

“I have a brother. I have half sisters. I have no siblings. Which is the lie my Engineer?”

She spoke each truth, or lie, with equal weight and calmness.
