Laughing, she lifted her glass and grinned. “Cheers!”

After taking a sip and setting her glass down, she turned her body and adopted a more open posture. “So… Operations Chief. On this ship. Scared?” she said with a sparkle in her eyes.

Hammor took a sip and shook his head. “Nope, not at all. Excited, and I know it’s a huge undertaking, but not scared.” and he looked down at her and smiled. “As one of the counseling staff and in your expert opinion, does that make me a bit crazy?” and he laughed softly.

Janna laughed again. “Ohh, I don’t know, maybe it’s a show of optimism, or naiveté. Not necessarily mental disturbance. But you’re asking someone who is been a member of the crew for four years. Maybe I’ve lost perspective,” she said with a grin.

“You know, you should repeat that ‘four-years-makes-you-an-Admiral’ bit to Koraia sometime. Man I’ve love to be a fly on the wall for that response,” she said taking a sip of wine. “After all, she’s been the captain for ten years now, and I think R’han was here even before she was. Yep, a downright asylum around here,” she said.

Hammor grinned and said “I’ve seen asylums before… from what I’ve read, this is more like a party barge for adrenaline junkies.” and he looked at her and chuckled.

“I seriously cannot wait to get started.” and he took a drink.

Kingston laughed. “Ahhh, you’re going to fit in just fine, Commander,” she said, shaking her head. “And hey, as a party barge, we certainly have some great amenities to go along with it. Helps with the mental breakdowns.” Looking over her shoulder into the rest of the lounge, she gave a fond smile as she took in the crew gathered. “It’s a good group. Dedicated to the point of obsession perhaps, but then again all slightly dysfunctional families are.”

~Janna Kingston, ACNS

Hammor shrugged slightly and said “Haven’t had one of those in a while… let alone a dysfunctional one. Might take me a bit to find my footing. Fortunately, I have a truly epic work load in front of me, so I can always just bury myself in that if the dysfunction gets too much, right?” and he chuckled.
