“Nice to meet you, Ted,” Viyara replied with a smile and a wink.”Of course,” she chuckled. This was the first time she’d been asked anything like that when ordering. Either because the bar didn’t serve anything really potent or because the barkeep didn’t care about the effects the drinks might have on the patrons. “I have no allergies and no medical conditions that will be influenced by anything I’ll drink.” Leaning forward conspiratorially, she added, “This isn’t the first time I’m having something you don’t find on the menu.”

One of Marishka’s many bangles had emitted a soft chime which called her to the bar where Ted and Viyara were.

Ted refilled her glas of Champagne automatically and stepped aside.

“This is Eroméni Marishka, keeper of our secret menu.” he said by way of introduction, “And this young lady, Viyara, is looking to be brave tonight. I shall leave you to it.”.
With that, Ted busied himself a little further down the bar.

“Nice to meet you,” Viyara greeted Marishka with her most charming smile while mustering her unashamedly.

Marishka looked at the young woman for several seconds, “So what are you in the mood to enhance, or forget?”.

  • Marishka

“I want to forget the memories and emotions this,” she gestured vaguely around her, “is stirring up. And as I mentioned to Ted: I’m no stranger to strong drinks not found on most menus.” Her heterochromatic eyes locked with Marishka’s dark ones, Viyara reached for the zipper of her uniform jacket. She should probably keep it on, but right now she could hardly care less about what was and wasn’t considered proper. Slipping out of the jacket, she tossed it onto the bar stool next her and rested her now bare arms on the counter.

OOC: I started to link images of her tattoos to her profile ;)

Marishka had to admit Viyara was a very unique looking woman, and she had known a few. She wondered, in passing, if the same artist had done all of her tattoos and if there were more.

“I know this is very cliche but I have a sweet little drink called The Forget Me Not. It’s a bit challenging to make but I think you’re worth the challenge. I will have to have you sign a few things. After that, I can get to work. There is a limit of one per customer though, especially given your height and weight my dear.”

“That’s fine with me,” Viyara replied with an impish grin. She was very curious about that drink to say the least and if she had to sign some paper work for it, she was more than willing to do so.

Marishka slid a PaDD across the bar with a rather densely worded contract on it. It had taken a Sheliak lawyer nearly a week to come up with it but, in the end, both parties were satisfied.

  • Marishka

Viyara quickly read through the contract before signing it without hesitation. The anticipation was building within her and by now she had managed to successfully block out what was going on in the rest of the lounge.

Marishka took the PaDD and scanned it several times. Satisfied, she tucked it away.

“Sit tight, I’ll be about five minutes. You wouldn’t want me to make any mistakes now would you? In the interest of full enjoyment, please do not consume any carbohydrates for the next half hour. So I suggest a salad instead of that plate of pasta.” she said with a slight bow before slowly turning and beginning to work with the many bottles in cabinets and racks behind the bar all the while turning to listen carefully to what was going on with the formalities. It was Jeffry’s job to warn her if her presence was necessary in an official capacity anywhere else and she was reasonably comfortable that he was up to the task.

  • Marishka

“No, I wouldn’t” Viyara chuckled. “What if I don’t feel like having anything to eat at all?” she asked as she watched Marishka work, purposefully ignoring and blocking out everything that going on behind her.

Marishka glanced over her shoulder.

“Well, that works fine too.” She returned to her task for several more seconds before walking back to Viyara and placing a tall slender glass before her.

“Take the glass in your hand and hold it for a few seconds to give the liquid a chance to come up to body temperature. You’ll know it’s done that when it turned from clear to a soft blue.” she explained. “Then you drink.”

  • Marishka

“Alright,” Viyara replied with a wide smile as she reached for the glass. Wrapping one hand around the glass, she found herself starign at the liquid; waiting for it change colour.

When it finally did, Viyara lifted it close to her nose and inhaled deeply before taking a first sip.

The scent wasn’t particularly remarkable. A slight citrusy hint that tingled the nose but the taste was like flowers that slowly warmed as it slid down Viyara’s throat, to bloom in her stomach, and slowly spread through her limbs like molten gold, filling her with the desire to relax and just be.
As Viyara drank, the colors of the environment around her seemed to become more vibrant and have a soft glow. They took on a liquid quality like that which flowed through her veins.
Sounds were muted and seemed distant. Viyara would have to concentrate to make out anything distant.

On the other side of the bar, Marishka was watching. She didn’t want anything to happen and had one of her relief bar tenders on standby who happened to work medbay.

Karina had been about to leave when Nightstalker was called up. He deserved probably more than they could give him. But she hoped this was at least a good start. She sipped her drink and waited, patiently more or less, to be allowed to leave. This wasn’t her cup of tea and she was itching to leave. Even medical was preferred to public functions.
