Daggum moved the cart to the couch area and then said “Oh, thats a promise I intend to keep several times over. Now then… what would you like?” and he began removing covers and the aroma of fresh seafood, grilled steaks, and fresh vegetables filled the room. “Chowder, steaks, or salad? Dessert is… for later.” and he grinned.
Daggum
“Good,” replied Viyara with a mischievous grin. “Some of everything?” she continued. “You said I should fill up. Though I’d probably start with the chowder.” She had never been one of those women who were shy to eat their fill while on a date or something. For one because she saw in shame in being hungry and eating as much as her body needed. And with all the exercising she was doing on a daily basis, her body needed sustenance. And while she wasn’t the best at taking care of herself or making smart choices, she generally was good at making sure that she wouldn’t faint or something because of the lack of food.

Daggum set them both up with a bowl and plate with some of everything. “Dig in.” and he raised his glass of water to her.
Viyara raised her own glass of water and then drank a mouthful before setting it back down on the coffee table.
It wasn’t until his second bite that he realized exactly how hungry he was. The deliciousness of the food coupled with the hunger from the energy they had expended made him ravenous. Trying not devour everything in sight. he looked at Viyara and asked “So… what has been your favorite past of today and tonight so far?” as he took a bite of steak.
Daggum
With her mouth full of chowder, Viyara contemplated his question for a couple of moments. “To be honest, I’m not sure that there is one thing I can say was my favourite part of today. So many different things have happened since we ran into one another in the gym,” she replied thoughtfully. “I really enjoyed our Tai Chi lesson. Food-wise I have to say the restaurant we were at was the best. Everything at the spa was just heavenly. I’m still scared, but I’m glad you made me open up and showed me that there are people I can trust outside of the work context.” Giving him a playful nudge in the ribs with her elbow while wiggling her eyebrows, she added, “And you are a wonderful and very skilful lover with a terrific sense of humour.” Of course that didn’t really answer his question, but she simply couldn’t pick one thing.

Daggum gave her a look and said “So it’s me then… good. Thats the right answer.” and he smiled and winked at her. “For me, it’s a tie. The view from the bedroom…” and he looked at her and then said softly “… and you. Those are the best parts to me.” and he took another bite and smiled.
Daggum
“Not the food or the mani-pedi?” Viyara asked cheekily before helping herself to another spoonful of chowder.
Turning her head to look at Daggum, Viyara asked thoughtfully with her spoon hovering in mid-air, “Have you done something like this before?You seem very skilful at getting what you want. Which isn’t a bad thing. Don’t get me wrong. I’m just curious.”

Daggum thought for a moment and then said “I am assuming you mean the room and stuff, present company not included.” and he chuckled. “It’s actually kind of an unofficial facet of my job. I have to know how to get things from people that don’t want to give them up, or when those things have been claimed by someone else. Logistics and supply is a lot more cutthroat than you would guess.” and he took a bite and chewed and then swallowed. “But as far as doing it for something like this?” and he waved his fork at the room in general. “No, never. I honestly just think we were in the right place at the right time, and things just kind of fell into place as we went.”
Daggum
Viyara nodded here and there as she listened closely to Daggum. “To be honest, I never thought much about what your position all entails and that it’s not always as easy as it looks to most of us to get all the supplies needed,” Viyara admitted between two bites. Gesturing at the room as well, she continued, “I’m generally good at getting what I want, or getting away with things, but I never would have thought something like this was possible. I’m still amazed that they believed everything.” She laughed lightly as she popped some salad into her mouth.
