Thoth welcomed the group into a spacious area with couches. His green eyes were sharp and perceptive behind his spectacles. Looking over his hand held screen device his aged face crinkled slightly in a smile.

“P’tah has sent me the requirements to date. “We’ll be sending you to the island of Nemornia for this fantasy. All I need from you is a few more details. In particular I would like to know if you have any preferences regarding the antagonists in this scenario and perhaps some idea of the level of difficulty you’d like regarding tombs and temples. A walk in the park or something a little more challenging perhaps?”

His smile broadened and he ran a hand through his thinning black hair. “If I was a little younger I’d be joining you on this one, sounds like fun!”.

Tello had no problem speaking up now. “Well, lets have them tall, dark and handsome–oh, and throw in a beautiful female for Daggum. How do we select the level of difficulty? Is there a scale we can choose from, like 1 to 5 or 1 to 10?”

Thoth made a few notes. “1 to 5 works for me, 1 being ho hum, so boring to 5 being sweet Mary and Joseph we’re going to die”.

“2.5 it is then.” Daggum said with a grin.

Daggum snorted. “Great, just what I need… another woman to distract me.” and he winked at Anaar. “As far as the antagonists go… maybe some pirates-slash-unscrupulous treasure hunters? Tombs and temples should challenge, but nothing so much that it makes it not fun. And we need down time away from the action to relax, too. I mean, I’m totally game for the Tomb Raider stuff… but this is also vacation… right? So some spear fishing, swimming, drinking… all without the imminent threat of attack is a necessity.” He looked at Tello and said “Sound good to you?”

She was giddy with the thought of a week in paradise. “Sounds great…OHHHH, no sharky kind of fish, okay? Do you know what a shark is? Its a very large fish that eats people!!! Let’s not have any of them in our beautiful ocean, deal?” She didn’t mention anything else that might bite. But sharks were a real phobia for Tello.

“Got it” Thoth said with a small smile, “How do you feel about eels?”.

“Moray good. Otherwise no. The spear fishing and diving is meant to be relaxing. Let’s keep the aggressive species to a minimum.”

Janna moved quietly over to the booth. “I want to parasail, I think…” she said uncertainly. Normally decisive and confident, Janna felt a bit at a loss here. There were too many unknown variables and something that was so simple for others was incredibly difficult for her. “But I want to relax on the beach after too.”

“Parasailing is a lot of fun,” Viyara grinned as she followed Janna. “Are you still okay with me coming with you? Otherwise I can do something else as well.” There was a hint of uncertainty in her voice, that she tried to hide. She would like to stay with Janna and parasailing was something she enjoyed, but she also didn’t want her to feel like she had to say yes. After all, they were patient and therapist and this was supposed to be a vacation for all of them. So the last thing she wanted to happen was this to feel like work for Janna.

“Absolutely,” Janna said with a nod. “Who better than to show me the ways of danger.” Was she teasing? A little, but she was honest. They were using skills in a way that was appropriate and while the risk was less, it was never going to be zero.

Thoth ticked it all off, “2.5, check, parasailing, check, spear fishing, check.” He looked around the group, “How long do you feel you need to prepare before departure to Nemornia?”

Izzy spoke up as she joined the group. “What kind of resting facilities will there be? Will they be on the yacht or on the beach, or a yurt nestled behind the tree line?”

Tello looked at Nazeen and Kingston and then at Thoth. “Wait…are you putting everyone here in our group?” All female and only one male—Hammor? That didn’t sound like the kind of spice she’d been hoping for.

OOC: Is there only ONE group of fantasy people? Won’t that mess with the sim? I mean, I have no idea—this is a real question.

OOC Orvos had an idea that might take off soon and Stark is always going to bring the crazy :-) Fear not, if one fantasy springs up from here more will follow. I also have S’Raal and fam down by the pool. It’s all good, you’re in the hands of a… (please insert word here)

Thoth turned to Izzy, “What would you prefer? and as for there only being one male I can easily add a boat captain, cabin boy or statuesque Island Native chief if you’d like one?” Thoth was openly grinning now, “Broaden your parameters my friends, this is a fantasy after all”.

“Don’t worry, Commander.” Hammor said with a cheeky grin. “I’m sure we’ll have plenty of of opportunity for me to catch you regardless of the number of people.” and he chuckled. He then looked at Thoth and said “So the individuals we will interact with. Are they real? Holograms? Actors? What?”

OOC: Was Thoth supposed to read her mind about the number of males? She thought that, she didn’t say it. I just need to know if she is supposed to catch that he is telepathic?
OOC No, I misread where the speech marks ended is all :-)

Without missing a beat, Tello looked over at Hammor. “Not going to happen, you’re taken now, remember?” Her dark eyes looked back at the host. “Why not add all three? The more the merrier, I say.” Well it was a fantasy, right?

Hammor looked at her confusedly. “Taken? Huh?” and then shook his head and looked back at Thoth.

OOC: My bad. I thought he told her he had someone else (Faye) during their encounter in her office. I just reread it and he didn’t. :(

“They are actors,” Thoth looked like he was going to say more but then thought better of it. He made a few notes, “All three it is then and now back to the question of accomodation, stores on the boat or a cabin in the woods?”

“How about a nice hut on the beach? Best of both worlds.” Daggum said.

“Hut on the beach…” Thoth made a few more notes, looking up he smiled again, “Paradise, a touch of fun, a touch of mystery… very nice my friends, very nice. Now unless you have other requirements, the boat for Nemornia will leave with the morning tide”.

Viyara had been uncharacteristically silent during the whole exchange. But there were two things she’d like to add, so she finally said something after all. “Could you also add rock climbing gear and diving gear if it isn’t already on the list?” she asked curiously.

She grinned wide, thinking it would be nice to flirt where there was little danger of love happening. She even wiggled a little in excitement. “Well, this is definitely sounding like a promising adventure!” Izzy said to express the excitement she felt. Finally she was starting to feel like this vacation would be a great idea. Her misgivings laid to the side for now, she thought of all the possibilities. Thoth’s smile and attitude was infectious. “God let there be coffee! Sunrise on the beach with a cup of coffee in my hand, the waves making a soft roar. Oh yes. I am so ready!”

As best she could tell, other adventures would be going on that were separate from the parasailing she wanted to try but they were all going to the same place initially. “I am also looking forward to lazing about o the beach after too. This could be fun, so I say let’s go!” Janna said, warming up more and more to her unexpected vacation plans. Her… parasailing! She couldn’t wait to see the looks on her moms faces. when she told them later.

Thoth was taking notes as they spoke and finally he finished typing with a flourish. “Coffee in the morning, nice touch, I approve. No coffee for you this evening though. The morning tide is set for 5:30am so you all need to get a good night’s sleep!”

It had all been decided and the group just had to get through the night. “Well, since the arrangements have been made, I think I’ll check into my room and then hit the bar. A little alcohol will help me sleep. I don’t want to start this adventure while I’m tired. How about the rest of you?”

“I think a drink is the perfect start to some time off. I’ll join you.” The big green Orion looked at the rest of the assembled individuals and said “C’mon. I got the first round.” and he started walking to the bar.

OOC Just a note to all, Janna, Izzy, Viyara, Hammor and Tello are set in this fantasy thread now so others need to start a new one with P’tah where Stark is now (or join Stark’s if no one else turns up). The ship will only have the one thread revolving around the mysterious stranger, apart from side sims all other action is on the planet :-)

OOC I’ll give this 24 hours or so for you all to head to bed and then I’ll fast forward us through the journey to the island… that is unless people want to have some fun on the boat trip? You could always parasail for a couple of hours on the way :-)
