Janna snorted. “So what do we do know? Do we tell the captain? If it was Koraia, I’d say, yes absolutely, because she’d probably have already known something was up. I don’t know about Wallace though. We’re still getting to know each other.” She was loathe to bring more people into this, but it did seem a courtesy to the CO to let her know something was afoot on her ship with her crew.

Orvos sighed as he considered their options. “In short, your doctor will definitely need to know. I think it may end up being up to you and your doctor as to whether you share this with the captain,” he admitted. “I can’t really stop you if that’s what you wanted. If anyone needs reassurance I could provide them with basic info to help.”

He obviously wanted to avoid having the whole crew know, but the more he thought about it, the more others would likely need to know as well.

“Shall we go as a united front?” Stark frowned, “In my case this is all still a bit theoretical and I’m not one for sharing secrets, especially if they’re still theoretical”.

Janna suddelnly found her vision blurring and as she planted her hands on her hips, she tilted her head upwards, closing her eyes. She had fought to stay in Starfleet, not because they hadn’t wanted her, but because she had doubted her very existence. Everything she had ever known had been shattered on that day on Emiria III. Her body had been altered, seemingly broken, and even after she picked herself back up, procedure after procedure failed to reverse her condition. She had learned to live with it, but there had always been an escape hatch in the back of my mind, a knowing that it the right circumstances came about, she would leave Starfleet.

Was she there now? She didn’t think so, but was, simply, overwhelmed. There was potential in this new ability, but she wished for once she’d had a say. But that wasn’t how life worked most of the time. As tears trickled over her cheeks, she stood there acutely aware of Stark and Orvos, their attention and concern. Inhaling fully, she sighed and dropped her head, opening her eyes.

“Let’s go to Sickbay and see Grey. We can decide from there I guess, she said shrugging her shoulders. This was new for her too.

Stark wiped up a tear with a paw, “Please remember you’re not doing this alone”, his ears suddenly stood up, “If you want to keep this on the down low, S’Raal is an option, it depends on whether you want to make this official yet”.

Orvos sighed as he too stepped forward. “I know, it should have never happened. I wish I could change it all if it was your desire. But whatever we do, it’s your choice onward. I’m here with you to the very end.” He was sincere in it. He cared more for her now than he let on, but that was all likely to change.

Gazing up at him, Janna was still tapped into that strange knowing and she knew his words were more weighty than they might seem. Orvos wasn’t one to make idle comments. To the end was far more portentous under the circumstances. To the end of what? There were so many layers within those few words. Micro-expressions shifted swiftly across her face and she wanted to say something, even going as far as parting her lips to respond. But in the end, she said nothing, an almost-smile offered before she moved out of her quarters.

The trip to Sickbay was uneventful, but Janna was quiet, sombre even. She wasn’t sure what to think about all of this, but Ben was a good person and a great doctor. She trusted his discretion. Looking about, she couldn’t seem to find her words, and looked to Orvos and Stark to help.

Benjamin was standing in the middle of his Sickbay, conversing with one of his junior doctors, his back to the entrance. When the three senior officers stepped through the door he stopped talking suddenly and cocked his head, his fellow doctor raised an eyebrow and looked at the arriving officers and seemed to stiffen. Benjamin exchanged a few words that visibly relaxed the officer and dismissed him. Ben finally turned around and looked at the three arrivals. He walked forward to meet the group. Nightstalker, Orvos, and Janna. Interesting group He thought to himself.

He stopped a short distance from the group and smiled his usual polite yet pleasant smile “Commander, Lieutenant Commander, Counselor” He greeted each person with a slight nod then clasped his hands in front of him “Whatever it was I didn’t do it”

OOC: Actually, it’s Orvos, not Akirel. hahaha. I think this takes place before his promotion to XO.

IC: Orvos nodded and gestured to the doctor’s office. “How about your office, eh?”

-Lt. Commander Orvos Legen, CE

OOC: Well I’ll be… I thought I’d read that so well :P - Hjortur
IC:

Ben did the same looking from one person to the other, his eyebrow raised about as high as it could get “I suppose so” He turned on his heels and walked purposefully into his office.

He didn’t have any personal decorations outside of a small potted plant clearly not Terran in origin in a metal container behind his desk. Benjamin sat down in his chair and crossed his legs then interlocked his fingers together and placed his hands on his thighs “I only have the visitor chairs” He smiled “So one of you will have to stand or all of you” He frowned and looked down “Or one sits and two stand but that would be silly”
