Officially, Dawson was a civilian. He was a former marine and then intelligence officer before going off the radar. Intel let him still have access to their work, simply for all the work he had done in the past. He was an asset they wanted to keep tabs on, and he was fine with that. They had no jurisdiction over him, and he had no jurisdiction over them.

That being said, as a courtesy (though technically they did request him to do so) he decided to get typical boarding evaluations done.

His first stop was sickbay. The doors quietly opened as he stepped through to the common area and waited to be addressed. He simply quietly observed.

Noah was rearranging some hyposprays and other implements. He picked up several and was making his way toward a storage cabinet when he happened to catch sight of the man standing silently in Sickbay. With the stealthy appearance it was somewhat difficult to keep his composure and not jump and drop the hyposprays all over the floor.

“Uh hello there, I’m Dr. Astor,” he said as he quickly set the equipment on a nearby table and approached the man, “Can I help you?”

Dawson offered a warm smile, where his exceptionally strong muscles offered none. “I’m here to get a physical evaluation done. Any chance you could help?” he inquired of the ensign.

-Dawson, Intel

Noah briefly studied the man’s face. He didn’t recognize him but he supposed that being a junior officer he wouldn’t be privy to all the comings and goings on the ship. It was somewhat strange that the man seemed to be dressed as civilian rather than in a standard uniform. He didn’t think most civilians needed to go through all of the normal procedures. Perhaps, he just had a lot left to learn about this ship.

Dawson’s senses told him that the ensign seemed confused. A little confusion was ok for the time being. That and he knew that not all lower tiered officers were privy to the on going issues in the higher tiers.

He returned the smile, switching into professional mode, “Of course, I can help you with that. If you wouldn’t mind taking a seat on one of the biobeds, mister....?”

Noah grabbed a medical tricorder and waited took up position next to the bed and tapped a few commands into the panel to get things ready.

“Dawson,” he said as he stepped over and hopped up on the bed. “And you are?” he inquired.

-Dawson, Intel

“Hello Mr. Dawson, I’m Dr. Noah Astor,” Noah responded as he tapped the name into the biobed to query any medical files already placed in the computer.

While he waited for any results he turned his focus back to the man with a smile, “So this should be relatively quick and definitely painless. Is there anything I should be aware of before I start my scans? Perhaps any recent illnesses or injuries or any significant ones in your past? Oh and I should mention that anything you say stays between us unless it could endanger the ship or the crew, in which case we would need to notify the captain together, so I do hope you will feel comfortable being honest here.”

Dawson’s rather limited file came up. It showed that he was El Aurian at the age of 956 years old. Standing at 6‘2” and weighing in at 220 lbs. Various injuries were shown on his record, though it only spanned the last 15 years or so. Most were mainly due to his service in the marines when he first joined starfleet and then later a few injuries as an intelligence officer. All injuries he had sustained were healed and back to normal. It was apparent that Dawson was a very fit individual.

Noah made note of the few injuries in the file. Seeing the brief indication of a background in intelligence all of the mysteriousness of this new crew member became clear. Or at least there was a clear reason for why things would not be more clear.

“Nothing to note really. I did spend years in cryogenic sleep before I was able to join starfleet. Aside from that, nothing more than a few broken bones to spice things up.” he said with a grin.

-Dawson, Intel

“Cryogenic sleep for years? That must have been an interesting experience. Was that somewhat recently or in your younger years?”

Noah ran the tricorder wand over his patient, finding vital signs to be within normal limits and, apart for signs of the aforementioned injuries, nothing seemed to be out of place. He kicked into a deeper scan to check for any microbiological abnormalities or things that might become a problem in the future.
