Dawson had gotten his evals done and was going to touch base with the new CIO when the time came. She apparently seemed busy getting settled in, so he decided to meander his way to a certain lounge, run by a certain woman.

He strolled up confidently to the bar with a grin on his face. He wore black slacks and a dark, semi-tight shirt that emphasized his strength. He wasn’t a man with bulging muscle, but he certainly was one with evident physique.

Dawson new the facade that Orvos had created would not last long. Quite frankly, he wanted to be there at the ready when it failed. But more to the point, she interested him. The pheromones in person only served to emphasize that too well. He kept his empathic senses open to receive whatever was happening as he looked about for that lovely green woman.

The bar was filled with the low murmur of conversation. The staff was busy at their normal tasks. Behind the bar a young mousy woman was being taken to task by Marishka herself.

“The one thing behind this bar I asked never to be touched, now I’m going to have to have it cleaned, restored, and removed, all because you couldn’t listen. I think your tenure here is over Sandra. You can reapply in six months.”

With that, the woman silently left. She had been trying to say her peace for the last five minutes but Marishka wasn’t having it. All Sandra had done was move and clean a small black saucer with a black, gold rimmed, cup. Sandra had even fixed the large chip in the rim. She had no idea why this upset Marsihka.

As Sandra passed by the newcomer she shot him a warning look.

A few seconds later Marishka, herself, turned around and saw Dawson at the bar.

“Are you a nightmare, a daydream, or an assassin?” she asked quietly.

Dawson took in the entire scene but was still mostly focused on Marishka. He wasn’t privy of the situation and a part of him felt bad for Sandra, but he wasn’t going to interject himself in a situation he knew nothing of.

“Not an assassin, could be a nightmare to some, but I much prefer to be the daydream,” he said with a slight grin. “How have you been?” He asked thoughtfully, his empathic senses open to her feelings whether she knew it or not.

Marishka’s racial make up, and many years of training, made it quite difficult for all but the most cunning of empaths to read. She found that those that tried usually had very dark intentions.

“How do you think I’ve been? It’s been, well, interesting. Now that you’re here, I have a feeling it’s going to get even moreso.” she paused and studied him a bit more closely, “Okay so, why are you here?”
