And Orvos was indeed right behind her. Once the doors shut and they were on their way, he asked her, “So, how did that go?” Yes he was there, but her own expressions of it all always revealed things. She certainly had new abilities and could likely share that way given his own empathic nature. However, it was good to share things aloud. See if it still matched his inner sensing of things.

“Not terrible. I mean obviously it wasn’t a traumatic experience, and I was able to communicate my needs to Ben and have them acknowledged. For someone with a history of medical trauma, it’s a big deal and it will help in this exploration process we’re now in,” Janna said. “Are you okay with this all?”

If he was honest, there was a part of him that was concerned about it all. Orvos never wanted her or anyone else to be dragged into the stresses of his life. The Nexus was not an easy thing to forget, especially when it left it’s ‘mark’ on the individual. This was bound get interesting. The other part of him was perhaps selfishly pleased with it all. She would get to know him perhaps a bit better. But he wasn’t about to hold his breathe. It would be easy to scare someone off. He only hoped he wouldn’t.

“I am so long as you are,” he replied to her with a grin. Best for him to be at ease with it all to allow her room to explore and be comfortable with it.

Janna was quiet as they moved down the corridor. “Well, I can’t go back and undo anything so I can either learn to live with it and grow with the experiences as they come, or I can pretend nothing is happening and live in denial for the rest of my life.” She gave him a lopsided grin. “What kind of person do you think I am?”

He jokingly scrutinized her. “Hmmm…hard to tell at the moment, though I have a hunch what you might do.” He grinned.

“I’m with you every step of the way.” he added on a more personal note, perhaps a hint of his affections surfacing. He wouldn’t let her go it alone. They were now tied together in a way, whether she liked it or not. He, of course, liked it…despite the klaxons going off in his head to not get too close.
