“Astronomy is my favorite subject. Space always fascinated me very much.” He said. “The stars in particular. They are the most beautiful things I can think of, both from a scientific standpoint and just to look at.”

Janna smiled and sipped her coffee. “Why Starfleet specifically? You can study the stars without anyone. Why go through years at the Academy and serve in this way?”

“I always had an appreciation for starships as well. Especially Starfleet classes. So I guess on top of loving astronomy I wanted to serve on a vessel like this one while I do it.”

Kingston nodded. “And what is it you hope to get out of your time here on the Athena, and what do you hope to contribute to the crew?” She was simply going where the conversation led, and while some therapists took notes as they went, she had a great memory and preferred to focus on the conversation and make notes afterwards.

“I never really thought about it. I tend to go with the flow when it comes to things like that, I guess.” He said, rather confident in his ability to do so. “But if I had to give a different answer, I would like to study white dwarf stars the most right now.”

“What about beyond tasks you might do, what sort of skills or things about you yourself, George Haroon, do you think are important and add to the wonderful mix here on the ship?” Janna wouldn’t force answers, but she also wanted to make sure she hit certain areas during their conversation.
