As if on cue a waiter stepped over with a chair and said it where shock had made room for it.
“Could you please bring me one of those three cheese omelets, and make certain to add the mushrooms this time. Also I think I need another cup of coffee if I’m going to get through the rest of this day.”
“Oh! Omelet and coffee sounds good. For me too as well, please,” Calloway said.
Liam stepped into the lounge. A few officers glanced his way, stirring up his awareness and anxiety. He wasn’t surprise since he rarely step foot in the lounge. It was difficult to justify it since injects fulfilled his basic needs. However, he did miss favors and textures causing him to venture from his labs.
In the back of his mind, he could see Kingston pleased with his spur of the moment decision. She wanted him to push out of his shell more after their sessions.
With determined steps, he moved to the replicator and punched in his order. He settled on spice tea, baked salmon with lemon, and mixed green salad with garlic bread. Nothing too extreme. Gripping his tray, he turned and glanced at the seating arrangements. Now, he just needed to find a place to sit.

As Mariska waited for her order she slid into the chair that had been provided and glanced around the bar again as she often did. She hadn’t noticed Liam walking in the room but rather sensed his presence. Glancing around again she realized whom it was.
“Mr Dawson, if you have some time later on I would love to continue our conversation or perhaps you could join us.”
She had said loud enough to be overheard but not loud enough to take over the conversation of the entire establishment.
- Marishka
Faye didn’t know the CSO personally and so far they had not interacted one-on-one. She should probably rectify that.

“The more, the merrier,” Shock stated in his monotone Vulcan way.
– Lt Shock
Upon catching Mariska’s statement, Liam wondered if he had interrupted something. He bit back the hesitation swelling in the back of his mind as he spotted an empty seat nearby. Casually, he walked toward it and settled in.
“I hope I’m not interrupting anything.” Liam politely asked.
-CSO, Liam J. Madison, Sci.
“Not at all,” Shock said. “It is agreeable to have you join us.”
Shock took another bite of his oily potato. “I will order some tea. Would anyone else like to share a pot with me?”
– Shock
“I will,” Calloway said. “I usually prefer coffee but I’ve come to appreciate a good tea as well.”
She turned to gaze at the CSO and eyed him intently for a moment. It was more a curious and assessing gaze, though Faye was well aware that her facial expressions could be hard to interpret some days. “Commander Madison, we haven’t met yet. I’m Faye Calloway, the new Chief Intelligence Officer.”

Liam nodded in gratitude toward Shock.
“I think I’ll have a cup as well.”
Turning briefly toward Calloway, he addressed her next.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Liam offered back, though his tone might’ve came off stiffer than he intended. It made him aware of much practice he needed despite being on the ship for a while now.
Casually, he lowered into the seat.
Somewhere back in the kitchen Khabal had received Marishka’s order. After watching the cook stuff prep the order they brought it over to the small table where cabal sat and set it down in front of him.
“Well, are you going to take it out to her?” asked Ted.
Khabal smiled and shook his head and looked down at the items. With a little bit of concentration, the shadow spread from underneath the plate deep and black, darker than what would be natural for the lighting in the room. The items on the table sank into the shadow and the shadow vanished.
At the table a shadow spread from under Marishka’s hand in front of her in a circle just big enough for her items to rose up from it. The shadow retracted leaving Marishka’s order sitting on the table in front of her, fresh from the kitchen.
- Khabal, Parthenon delivery service (?)
When the items appeared, the CSO tensed in surprise. Promptly his symbiotic parasite, named LB, sensed the rise of adrenaline levels. Liam’s palms rose a few degrees instinctively.
The CSO grumbled, noticing the sensation in his hands. Carefully avoiding touching the table, he placed them into his lap and inhaled. Thankfully, they had high heat tolerance in case of this event. Once his pulse returned to normal, the heat died in his palms.
“I wasn’t expecting that type of delivery. I think I need to get out of the lab more often.” Liam commented.

Marishka took a slight breath in in surprise, she hadn’t expected her order to appear quite that way. Her new kitchen staff must definitely be taking this particular moment of his job to heart.
“Mr Khabal has taken a job in the kitchen while he’s on board you see. I guess he’s putting his unique talents to good if perhaps mundane by his standards use. I’m sure Ted will be out with tea and anything else anybody might like momentarily.”
Marishka had just taken a few sips of her coffee when, Ted indeed appeared.
- Marishka
“Oh hello, Ted,” Shock said. “May I ask for a pot of Biluochun tea, please, big enough for a few cups for me and my colleagues?” Choosing an Earth tea seemed like the safest option, given the human majority. Though secretly, he did want some plomeek…
– Shock
“Yes, I can absolutely have that out for you in just a few minutes. I have a new set of china that I’ve been wanting to present and this seems like the perfect time to do it.”
Calloway’s brows lifted as her mind tried to understand exactly what had just happened before her eyes. “I suppose my order will arrive the old fashioned way.” If she got food. At least she’d get some tea. “And what exactly are these unique talents?” Faye asked, trying to keep her voice light.
~Faye Calloway, CIO
Ted placed phase order down in front of her and narrowed his eyes when he realized what Mr cabal had done.
“I didn’t think he was supposed to do that.”, Ted whispered before turning back to get shocks tea.
