Everyone was distracted so it only took minutes to free Isabel’s brothers. Isabel looked Isabel and smiled, “Too much of a good thing… nah!”.

“HA! Never!” Izzy responded and continued in her quest to free everyone and get them out.

The moment wasn’t going to last. Liam screaming in pain and driven quite mad from all his experiences lunged at Julien who skipped away with a great deal of dexterity but there wasn’t anywhere to go. Just as Liam was about to strike a roar erupted that shook the room and the furry form of Luka barreled into the mad scientist driving him to ground. Kaylee’s Mother made to follow Pierce’s route to escape but suddenly out of nowhere Ghubari appeared with the paddles from a nearby crash cart slammed them onto the woman’s temples and zapped her into insensibility. She raised an eyebrow at the two “Isabel’s” and muttered “Shocking” with a totally straight face.

The last thing Izzy expected was this second round of funny quips from the alternate versions of herself and the crew she served. Were they all going to be like that? It could either be a flaw or the perfect touch. In the heat of the moment, she couldn’t decide. Now… where was that exit?

Rovan was facing off with Ben and Janna but all were distracted as outside in the corridors, doors were slamming open and the eerie sound of insane laughter, animal grunts and other noises that defy description started to fill the hallways…

OOC Forgot to italicise Luka’s name, ooops.

Forgotten by all, the Mirror Orb of the Prophets sat in its cradle providing its mysterious energy to the system… until the ensuing scuffles knocked it sideways. It tilted slowly, inexorably, for a second, if anyone had been looking it hung suspended in space, and then it fell to the floor and cracked into three crystalline pieces, the light within faded and died as if it had never been…

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

The sounds coming from the corridors was distracting but nothing could prepare her for the shattering of the Mirror Orb. For so many, this had been a light and an item of extreme importance. Izzy picked up the pieces. “Anyone know how to get out of here? I don’t know about you, but I would like to leave now.”

Delaney, Sec

Julien was looking at the pieces she was carrying with horror. Ghubari looked at the small army they had gathered and pointed to the second exit. “There’s a shuttle in this direction,” she said tersely.

“If we can get to it,” Ben replied, “from the sounds of things the whole place is coming alive”.

Janna was scanning from a nearby console, her face looked very grim.

“Nothing me brothers and I can’t handle,” Isabel said having surrounded and disarmed Rovan, She looked at the man menacingly, “plus we have a hostage now”.

Rovan shook his head, “I’m expendable” he looked over at Alison, “but I’ll help you if you promise not to kill her”.

A voice from the floor sounded slightly panicked, “Speaking of killing, I cannot hold this madman down for long and if he gets his hands on me I am going to end up as a small pile of ash”.

Looking over, everyone could see a wild struggle going on between Luka and Liam.

Orvos noticed Luka still wrestling with Liam Madison. He waited until he had a clear shot at Liam and fired with precision, hoping to simply knock the man off and stun him.

The bolt singed Luka’s fur but hit Liam fully in the face. He absorbed the energy but was momentarily blinded. Long enough for Luka to manhandle him into one of the holobeds and slam the lid down locking it in place.

“That will not hold him for long,” she said with a frown. “I suggest we leave.”

After he attempted the shot, Orvos then contacted Julien. =/\=The Cryano is still here, Julien. Let me see if I can beam you lot aboard.=/\=

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

Julien looked up at the drone and silently shook his head knowing that Hamilton had already protected this base from the effects of stealing the Mirror Orb. He looked at everyone assembled, “We’re going to have to fight our way to the Cyrano”.

He looked up at the drone again, “A little guidance and scouting would be immensely helpful”.

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

Orvos’s drone moved toward the hallway that would lead the group back to the Cryano. =/\=This way ladies and gentlemen, please do step lively.=/\=

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

Izzy let out a long breath of relief. At least they had a direction. She had had no idea where she had been led exactly from. There had been too many twists and turns and she had definitely lost a few brain cells when Rovan had struck her earlier. She started pushing the mirror people in the direction of the drone.

At the end of the hallway was a line of horrors coming their way. They looked for all the world like zombies stitched together from various body parts of different species, Gorn heads, Lethean hands, hairy barrel-chested torsos and scaled clawed feet with razor-sharp talons.

Julien lead the group after the drone and they all stopped dead in the wide corridor beyond. The monsters started to run towards them and the only thing said at that moment came from Luka.

“Smell, bad!”

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

Isabel looked over to see what Luka was talking about and did a double take. It wasn’t as if she had any actual weapons. There just had not been any around. God how could she not even have a phaser!? “Lively isn’t going to cut it! Move yer Arses! RUN!” There was mild panic in her voice as well as a great deal of authority and then she too was moving her well toned Irish derriere. “Go GO GO!!!”

Ben didn’t need to be told twice, as they ran he was overtaken by Rovan who yelled at the party, “Armoury!” and ducked down a side corridor and then into a side room containing lockers. He slammed the door and locked it seconds before a large thud could be heard as something hit the door at a full run. The door buckled visibly.

Rovan grimaced and pointed at the lockers “Good news… weapons… bad news… only one way out…”

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist
OOC Tony, I’ll let you decide whether the drone is in or out :-)

OOC: Out works for me. :)

IC: Orvos set his drone to attach to the ceiling for the moment while he took care of a few minute things on the Cryano. Once he got his eyes back in the drone, he analyzed the situation. “Aurora,” he said on the ship. “What would it take to eradicate these…things…from the armory? Perhaps some phaser fire?” He allowed his mind to access the Cryano’s phasers to fire.

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

OOC I’m assuming it’s still outside the armoury door, not back at the Cyrano. Apologies if I got that wrong.
IC

As the drone attached to the ceiling it had to weave to avoid many pipes and wires that ran along the top of the ceiling.

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

Izzy ran into the Armoury then quickly turned and helped Rovan secure the door. Even a headstrong woman with years of experience fighting jumped when the door buckled inwardly due to the impact of the … zombies? Immediately her eyes took in the small room, its weapons cache and the fact that Rovan was right and there was no other way out.

“Weapons are truly the way to my heart.” She said with a hint of truth and a hint of sarcasm. She moved over to one of the lockers and began figuring out which weapon would be best in close quarters combat. Smaller was better but it needed a good amount of fire power. If they had any distributed beam weapons, she would be thrilled.

Delaney, Sec

=/\=Julien, you may need to do what you can for now. I have a shuttle en route with a child that needs my help. I’ll keep you updated. Just try to make your way to this shuttle bay.=/\=

-Lt. Orvos Legen, CE

OOC weapons are all Klingon and Cardassian, for ease let’s put them on a par with our universe, twin disruptors perhaps :-) As for zombies, haha, so last century, welcome to the era of genetic recombinants©.
IC

Julien motioned for everyone to fan out in the room in a half-circle. “We’ve got to get to that ship,” he said decisively. “Prepare yourselves and have back up weapons for close combat if necessary, I’m going to count to ten and then open the door, they can only come at us one at a time… ready?”.

She scanned the weapons and grabbed a knife, snapping it to her belt. Then to the guns she shopped. Isabel took a hold of a disrupter and checked it for power and readiness and then did so with a second one. Taking one in each hand, she turned and faced the door. She had been a Federation Marine. Close quarters combat was something she was well versed in and very good at. She lifted her disrupter and waited, letting her breath slow methodical.

It wasn’t long before the whole party bristled with weaponry. Julien put his hand on the shuddering door as it continued to be impacted by something large and heavy. “Ten, nine, eight…”.

He never got to seven as the door blasted inward and sideways revealing the Gorn-headed Lethean monstrosities outside…

Junior Gamemaster Conspiracy Theorist

Immediately Izzy started shooting, going for head shots with one pistol. She didn’t need a second until she started getting into the fray where enemies could come at you from all sides.

Delaney, Sec
