Benjamin sat down and crossed his legs, interlocked his fingers and raised his forefingers to his lips and took a long moment to think “Little Bastard comes to mind” He said completely ignoring both the snapping and the apology as if he didn’t notice either. HE paused again “That might be for the best, at least for the moment. Until we understand the creature better” He kept his pose for another few moments “Alright what about physical exertion, have you done any extreme exercises or something similarly exhausting?”

Dr. Grey - CMO

Liam huffed at the name and seemed to agree. A moment or two of silence passed before he broke it. He shared his recollections of the times he pushed himself, settling back into his seat.

“When I sparred with the holodeck. It went for several hours and afterwards, I was close to starving. I used about six doses before I gave up and decided to jog around the warp core. Afterwards, I felt fine.”

Benjamin nodded slowly “Well it does seem to have a more positive parasitic relationship at first glance, but I want to make sure that it stays that way. I’d like for you to run your own exercise experiments, figure out a way to measure how much energy you can expel, it will both help you understand your abilities and give us a baseline to work with. Seeing as it feeds on mostly harmless radiation I don’t see a need for you to carry any measuring devices but I think we should keep an eye on your bloodwork just in case. I’d also like for you to consider working on therapeutic measures as well, we already know that it can be triggered with emotion.”

Dr. Grey - CMO

“I wouldn’t call anything about it positive.” Liam couldn’t help the frustration then he inhaled, releasing it from his voice.

Keeping his emotions out of his thinking, he debated on the doctor’s statement.

“There might be a program that could do that. It’s one that the engineering department uses to run drills over warp core safety and repair. A device measures radiation output. I should consider using that next time fencing lesson.”

After another moment, he then added, “Anything else I have to keep in mind for the little bastard?”
