Kurok was running the name through his lips again and again, “Kurok, Kurok…” he looked strained, “I can’t remember anything!”

Jessica murmured comforting noises at the ensign, resting a hand on his shoulder. “Just give it some time, Ensign. You suffered a serious injury. Don’t try too hard right now,” she whispered to him, mindful of the headache that he might still be suffering from. “We’ll figure it out, together.” One of the first genuine smiles of the last few hours graced her features as she attended to the man.

T’Pon and S’Raal looked on sympathetically at the Vulcan man’s discomfort. The baby was preternaturally quiet as if listening intently.

Kurok responded to Lemann with a look of anxiousness. ‘What happened to me… what serious injury?”

OOC If often wondered what would happen to a Vulcan who forgot they were a Vulcan :-)

Jessica quickly realized that she actually had no idea about what had happened to cause Kurok’s injury. She quickly glanced around Sickbay, hoping to see if the CSO was still there with more information…

Dr. Lemann

When Liam heard the words uttered from the Vulcan, his face turned up in a frown. The incident must’ve been more severe than he originally thought. For a moment, the CSO thought through his past medical research for an explanation. It had been a long time, but something worth trying surfaced.

“Can you run a scan over the metathalamus and cerebral cortex areas? It could be damage or issues with the thalamus which can affect memory.” Liam pointed out, a helpful suggestion he hoped.

He had been about to assist in calming Kurok before the CO’s voice came from his comm badge and summoned him away. The older man glanced, his face filled with an apology, at the woman then added another thought.

“If that doesn’t work, do a complete scan of the brain. It is possible scans can pick up whatever they missed during the coma.” With that last advice, he had to swiftly depart.
