“XO, I have a task for you. When all this is said and done I need you to place an order with IFEA for 600 shirts all with the saying Don’t Give Up the Ship. Shirts will be mandatory during all incidents of repelling boarders. Eye patches will optional. It might be the only way we get the CMO to match the crew,” Kelly said again in a flat tone. She would have been more jovial if the situation was becoming more intense by the moment.

“You know I’d wear that,” Ryley replied levelly.

“Noted,” Relann deadpanned.

At his station Nash adjusted a few of his controls. “Scanning the probe Captain, let’s see what she is” then at the same time, made sure the shields were stable and kept track of the probes approach for targetting. “Phasers and torpedoes ready Captain.”

Lt Cmdr Nash, CTO

“Let’s not be the bully’s of the parsec until we have to Mr. Nash,” Kelly said. She was glad however her crew was so experienced and knew their jobs. She had always commanded with a marcomanager style and this seemed to fit perfectly well with this crew. They knew their jobs and until they didn’t Kelly would let them do their jobs.

The scans came back. Was it actually a probe, it definitely was not federation anymore. It was skinned in pure gold and covered in some style of glyphs. if it came from where the anaomalies were detected then it was insanely fast. Perhaps warp capable. Either way it was broadcasting the distress signal in question. There was also the ghost of perhaps a lifesign aboard.

“Captain Juv Horin and Commander Juniper Kiver were the CO and XO of the Momentum,” Relann commented. “Just for reference. Too bad they didn’t leave us their personal logs…”

Fell-Drayke, XO

“Captain the craft appears to be skinned in gold and covered in symbols, it may be warp capable, and it is what is broadcasting the distress symbol. Captain I may have indications if a life sign aboard it, but the scan is inconclusive. I have no indication of weapons.” Nash brought the object more into view on his console, so he could project what he could on the main screen if needed.

Lt Cmdr Nash, CTO

“Gold? Well it could be for conductive properties, but in conjunction with the glyphs, it seems more honorific. A tomb? A royal escape pod?”

Ryley moved to the science station and looked at the potential life reading. His brows turned down as he frowned his interest.

“Those symbols don’t look like anything I have seen,” Kelly said casting a side glance at Relann. Her crew was not fresh-faced academy graduates but a team with probably a century’s experience between them all. Activating her comm she contacted the one person who might have an idea of what they are looking at. She had no idea where he was but no matter where it was she could transmit the images to him via PaDD. =/\= Lt. Bordeaux I am sending you some images. Any idea what they say or if you have seen something similar in those dusty history books you lug around. Transmitting now and get back to me ASAP. Bor…Shultz out.=/\=

Relann was deep in thought for a moment and then realization spread across her face. “I might be able to find us some more info,” Fell murmured to Kelly before moving back to the console she had been working at.

Sitting down, the XO began to hunt for any personal or ship’s logs predating that last update. Logically speaking, if there was an update, there had been something prior to it. At the moment anything could be potentially useful.

Fell-Drayke, XO

Standing at his own console further back on the Bridge, Rand noted the XO’s search and added his own Intel codes to it, just to help it bring up any information blocked to the more regular channels.

OOC: Fixing split

The Computer began working the different queries in the oder recieved. Though resolved fastest was the complete archive of the mission, personal, and command logs associated wirh the USS Momentum were available for perusal. It would take time, or more specific quesries to comb through the archives for information.

As the computer cataloged the imaged engraven on the golden skin, it paused to bring forward the image under the others USS Momentum NX-05 it appeared the probe had orginated from that ship, but had encountered something that had altered it.

The refined searchon the life sign provided the following additional information. Human, Male, 40-50, Current Status somewhere between, well preserved corpse, poorly statused Cyro statis. Meaning either this lifesign was recently deceased or would be.

Novus Ordo Mundi.

Ryley looked up from the science station. “The life sign is registering as human, cant tell if its already dead and really well preserved or if its alive and the stasis is decomping. ” he checked the read outs again. “Either way better make a decision soon because if he is alive he soon wont be.”

“Get me a lock on those life signs and beam them directly to an isolation room in sickbay. I can’t let the man die if he is not dead but I won’t risk the ship. Ryley get down there and either patch him up or bring him back from the dead. We need answers and he is the fastest way to get them,” Kelly ordered.

Captain Kelly Shultz

Ryley turned without a word and went to donjust that. Anyone watching would see he walked off of the bridge holding his cane off the floor seemingly engrossed by the prospect of the mystery to come.

It appeared to have been no issue beaming the life sigh from the probe to the isolation ward in sickbay. Where the mytery awaited the medical staff.
