Fell glanced over at Gallagher and then back at the Marine. “Hey Phil. What do you say to a little group training in the larger range space? Gallagher and I can run cover for you while you do your simulation.”

Fell-Drayke, XO

The target behind Phil fired at him. The sharp zap struck him square in the back causing him to stand up and swear loudly. “You are dead. Exercise over,” the computer said blandly.

“Oops, sorry,” Fell said with an apologetic smile.

He looked at Fell, “Why not?” he said looking towards Gallagher.

-Phil

Frank looked back at the pair confused. “What’s going on?”

Gallagher

“Want to team up for Phil’s medical simulation?” the XO asked. “We’ll need to provide cover while he ends to the wounded and be prepared for anything coming our way.” It was a good practice simulation and it had been awhile since she had done one quite like this.

Fell-Drayke, XO

“Sir yes Sir!” he exclaimed. Frank became excited to working with the XO. In his mind he thought it would help her get to know him better than what’s in his files.

Gallagher, Security

Fell gave him a lopsided grin, amused at his eagerness. He was positively vibrating with it and it would be good to see he handled himself under the pressure of a watchful gaze. “Computer, reset simulation and add elements for two protective covers.”

There was a chirp. “Simulation updated. Begin when ready.”

“Alright Ensign,” Relann said to Frank, ” do you want to cover ground or aerial?” she asked. It was easier for one person to take the lower half of the field, while the other covered the upper. They also had to make sure to stay out of Phil’s way, which meant not only paying attention to whatever might come flying their way in the form of an attack, but also pay attention to Phil and his movements.

Fell-Drayke, XO

“I’ll take the high ground Commander.” Frank replied.

Gallagher

Phil fired his phaser almost instinctively at the first target he saw. His beam seared close above Gallagher’s head hitting a target that appeared directly behind the ensign…

-Phil
