Mardusk took a deep breath, very deep, and held it and looked at Ryley for a few seconds before saying (while trying to hold his breath) “Can I let it out now, Doc?”

“No.” Ryley said without looking up as he continued waving the tricorder, in truth he couldn’t stop the poor man breathing out and didn’t expect him to actually pay him any heed. He was grumpy.

Ooc: tricorder says?? :)

Tricorder will show a tension-induced migraine, nothing major.

Ashlynn chuckled under her breath and followed Bailey off to the other part of the med bay “Let’s get the trays set up for the physicals. Who is the first group to come through?” She asked as she began setting up for the number of people that would be soon coming through. “Did you also schedule time for the students at the school to come through.”

Summers (med)

Bailey smiled in return and began helping set the trays. “I did. The department heads and command staff were asked to report this morning and the school students this afternoon. Everyone else somewhere in between.”

Ashlynn nodded and worked with Bailey to get the rest of Sickbay set up for the physicals. She hoped that each department kept their appointments
Mardusk exhaled directly at Ryley and smiled. “Glad I didn’t get the extra garlic with my pizza last night. But probably not as glad as you are, though.” and then he suddenly winced in pain. “Ow.” he said through gritted teeth and rubbed his temples.

Mardusk, CoS

Ryley frowned at the readings and moved the tricorder closer to the man’s head. He scanned a few seconds then putting the device down so it still faced Mardusk and could continue its scanning removed a penlight from his jacket pocket and held up his left index finger. “Look here.” He said tapping it with the penlight and then turned the archaic device onto his patient.

“Still getting headaches?” He asked as he switched hands and checked the other side.

Mardusk looked at the light and then said “Yeah. Oh, hang on a sec.” and he quickly rocked his head to the right and there was a loud ‘CRACK’ as something in his neck adjusted itself. Another roll of the shoulders and Mardusk smiled. “Yeah, that’s better. Sometimes just get a crick in my neck after a really bad headache.” and he paused a minute. “Yep, no more pain. Good to go, Doc.” the big green behemoth said.

Mardusk, CoS

Ryley made a face and glowered at the security chief. “You keep doing that and I’m gunna send you to an old fashioned chiropractor.” He pocked the light and looked back at the tricorder. “How frequent are the headaches and how long do they last? Any vision problems or nausea?”

Ryley
MD

“I’d hate to see the chiropractor that could adjust me, so no thanks. I get ‘em maybe every three or four months or so. Bright light hurts a bit, no nausea. Just pain. Had a few docs look at it. Chronic Migraine, or some such. Nothing to be done they said, and they usually pass in a few hours if I don’t go to sickbay and interrupt a lover’s spat between the CMO and his holographic girlfriend.” he said with a wicked grin.

Mardusk, CoS

Ryley hmmed to himself and moved his cane managing to give Mardusk a solid whack on the knee with it as he did so. “Oh clumsy me, sorry.” He said not sounding it and grinning back. He pulled a padd with the medical records of his smartass patient and skimmed them again. “She’s not my girlfriend. She’s my holographic figurative pain in the ass…so more like a wife. And don’t blame me I have no control over her she just turns herself on whenever she feels like it or a certain word is uttered in sickbay but the word changes every day and doesn’t repeate itself, even if the holoemitters in sickbay have been disabled she seems to still manage to show up. Got an issue with her speak to our esteemed CE, it’s sparky’s fault she exists at all.” He puffed air from cheek to cheek, his head tilted as he thought. “I never thought I’d say this but I’d welcome the fat bald guy so much I’d possibly kiss him should he appear. At least he won’t have a go at my socks or chase me with a dammed uniform.”

He went back to the tricorder as he spoke, “I could give you a Hydrocortilene hypo. It’ll allow you to administer say a 2% dosage when you feel them starting and then a second 3% dose if the first doesn’t nip it in the bud. You’d need to come in for a treatment series if that doesn’t stop it. Any idea what your trigger might be?”

MD

Mradusk didn’t so much as flinch when the cane hit him. “There’s a lot of words I’d use to describe you, Doc. That’s not one of them.”

“Good to know,” Ryley responded filing that away for later,

In response to the CMO’s question, he said “Yep. Stress… tension… dealing with adults behaving like children… you know, the usual.” and he smiled. “But the hypo sounds good. I’ll let you know if it doesn’t work.” and he stood up, the bed squeaking in relief. Casting a glare at it, he then turned to Ryley and said “Am I good to go, Doc?”

Mardusk, CoS

Ryley picked his cane up and without a word limped away to a trolley where he rummaged a moment then slid an orange liquid into an empty hypospray which he programmed as he returned. “You know debilitating migraines is something that can get you declared unfit for duty,” he said conversationally. He held out the hypo.

“Good thing they aren’t debilitating, then. I’d hate to have to retire from security and become your Physician’s Assistant, Doc.” Mardusk said with a wink, taking the hypo and sliding it into his pocket.

“Don’t take anymore than the program allows, no more than two shots per day otherwise you’ll go night night for 48 hours and then OD and die,” he waved his hand in a sweeping gesture. “Go, be free!!”

Ryley
MD

“Got it. Only more than two shots if I have to deal with tribbles or my mother. Roger that, Doc. Thanks.” and the gargantuan Security Chief waved and left the Sickbay. Pausing in the door, he looked back and said “Oh, hey. I’ll be sure to get all my security staff down here for their check ups asap. I know how you love doing those.” and he smiled broadly and waved before turning and walking out the door.

Mardusk, CoS

“If you need to deal with your mother come bac for something stronger!” He yelled after the man. If it was anything like dealing with his mother… He pulled a face at the man’s parting words and went to take one of the PaDDs from the waiting crew people, ignoring the one that Bailey was now waving at him.

“Right…who’s next!” He said in his most creepily upbeat tone with a maniacal grin.

Ryley
MD

Ooc:anyone else want to jump in?

Ashlynn looked up from the patient that she was examining and said nothing as she continued talking to her patient and doing the physical, she updated the officer’s medical record “If you continue to have the headaches come back and we’ll look at other options that we have to deal with them.” She said as she smiled slightly and saved the data.

Summers (med)

Ryley limped over and pulled himself up onto the biobed beside them to watch her finish. He didn’t really watch instead seemed interested in the NE being updated on his boosters. Once she was done however he grinned evilly at Her “Your turn?” He asked patting the bed beside him.”
