An hour after the conversation on the bridge, a DujHod-class shuttle launched from the Ghol. A harsh voice came through on comms. =/\= Atlantis, IKS Shuttle Ka’Tang en route. Request permission to dock to convey wedding party. Acknowledge. =/\= it said in a very demanding tone. Or maybe it was just the fact that it was a Klingon speaking.

T’Kor’s Envoy

On the Bridge, Nash watched the shuttle on screen and reached over to his console to activate the return comm, with everybody else having left to get ready for the imminent arrival, he had stayed to monitor the Klingon warship and the surrounding area. =/\= Ka’Tang, this is the Atlantis. Permission granted =/\= He said simply, then shut off the comm line.

Lt Cmdr Nash, CTO

The shuttle followed the transmitted flight path and made it’s way into the shuttle bay of Atlantis. The comms on the bridge came on again and the same growling voice said =/\= Atlantis. Ka’Tang. We have arrived. We are preparing for disembarkation. Your delegation can meet the Admiral in five minutes. =/\=

T’Kor’s Envoy

As the transport touched down on the deck of the shuttle bay, the doors to the bay opened and the bulk of the Security Chief came in through the door, but he was not dressed in a Star Fleet regulation uniform. Instead, the giant Orion was dressed in Klingon armor over which draped a robe emblazoned with multiple Klingon symbols surrounding a House Seal. The heavy boots of the formal Klingon attire thudded onto the metal deck and the sound echoed across the bay. His hairless green head had a sheen of being freshly cleaned and oiled. On either side of Mardusk stood a member of the Security Team in their dress uniforms. The Security Chief looked around to see if anyone else had arrived yet.

Mardusk, CoS

Frank stood next to Mardusk in preparation for the wedding. Frank in his traditional clan uniform of a wolf cloak and leather straps holding it in place snapped his heels in front of their presence to attention in a way to let the security crew to stand in attention.

Gallagher

Mardusk nodded at Gallagher and without looking at his partner said “Everything in order, Frank?”, knowing that it would be. Gallagher was solid, and Mardusk knew that he would have things well in hand for the upcoming ‘festivities’.

Mardusk, CoS

Frank nodded without looking as well “Guards are at key locations Sir and on standby. Shall we scan the guests coming in to prevent any nefarious activity from happening? I’d hate to see a Klingon get a hold of a troublemaker”

Gallagher

Mardusk chuckled. “They are gonna have weapons galore, Frank. Gifts, prizes, favors… you name it, and the Klingons have a weapon made for the occasion. Let’s just assume that everyone on that shuttle is packing, and leave it at that.”

Mardusk, CoS

The sound of soft clicking appared in the shuttle bay as Kelly approached the group. “Is there the possibility of a pinata involvement,” Kelly said moving up beside Mardusk. “What you just described sounds like the annual church potluck. We always had pinatas there. Made life interesting and gave a reason for finally being able to knock those obnoxious hats off the old biddy’s that glared at you for talking when you were a teen.” Kelly’s tone was humorous but she did wear a more formal expression. It was hard not to when you were in dress uniform.

Captain Kelly Shultz

OOC: I’ve started a thread in the Lounge for when everyone is ready to reach the party. :) ~Linds

Mardusk looked down at the Captain and a slight smile played across his features. “Well, that’ll certainly get the Admiral’s attention, Captain. Maybe not in the way you expect, though.” and he looked at the shuttle as the sound of the cabin depressurizing indicated the doors were about to open. “He does like dresses on women.” he said and began walking towards the side of the shuttle where the door was, his massive boots clanging on the deck and the dress robes flowing out behind him as he walked.

Mardusk, CoS

The doors to the shuttle slid open to reveal a dark interior lit by red lights. As the doors locked in place, two figures emerged and stepped to each side of the hatch. Fists slammed on their chests, and a much taller figure, bent low to account for the shuttle’s ceiling stepped forward, standing up to a height slightly taller than Mardusk.

The figure was an older Klingon. Dressed in robes almost identical to Mardusk, he carried with him an air of confidence and charisma that was unmistakable. A long, jagged scar went from the upper right side of his head all the way down to his lower left jaw, barely missing his eye. A large House symbol pendant on a thick chain hung around his neck. A pair of disruptor pistols were holstered on each hip, with a D’k tahg near each one. Looking out across the bay, his eyes fell first on Mardusk and he let out a tremendous laugh. “MY BROTHER!!!” and he took three steps and covered the intervening space with a quickness that seemed almost unnatural for a being his size. Wrapping his arms around Mardusk, he gave him an emotional embrace, lifting the giant Orion off the ground. Setting him back down, Mardusk smiled broadly and said “qaleghqa’mo’ jIQuch” (I’m glad because I see you again). The tall Klingon smiled broadly and grasped Mardusk’s face with both hands and put their foreheads together. “qaleghqa’neS, puqloDwI’” (I am honored to see you again, my son.). He then looked up and, spying Shultz and Gallagher (and paying very close attention to the Captain) said in Federation Standard, “And who might these be? Ah, Captain Kelly Shultz. Formerly of the Broadsword and Harrier.” and he moved in front of her, looking down at her with a respectful demeanor but an undeniable twinkle in his eye.

“Last time I checked,” Kelly said confidently but with a hint of playful sarcasm in her voice. My God does Mardusk have any friend or family comes shorter than a giraffe or thinner than a California redwood, she thought as she extended her hand. Kelly has heard the old adage that they grew them big on the farm. In Mardusk’s case the saying needed to be they grow them supersized off world.

“A true honor to meet one of Star Fleet’s finest officers. I trust my wayward walking-blockade hasn’t caused you too much trouble? If so, you can always transfer him to me.” he said with a chuckle and extended his arm towards her.

“Thank you but you obviously have not gotten Admiral Perkins opinion of me,” she extended her arm towards him. She knew basic male culture across any civilization required a stronger grip than the other person’s in situations such as these; however, anything less than a normal one would have been laughable for her. Kelly could never take out that man or pretty much any man mono e mono. She was five foot four inches and one hundred and thirty pounds. Ian was in no way a huge as these guys and he could still take Kelly out while suffering the flu if he really wanted to. So Kelly just embraced his arm with a respectful strength.

“And his transfer is off the table. At least until the wedding is over. I plan to hold him responsible if this goes downhill,” she joked but wore and expression as if she believed every word. “If we surive the wedding....he isn’t so bad to have around and one damn mean right hook so I think he is a keeper.”

Captain Kelly Shultz

The big Klingon laughed heartily. “Indeed, Captain. Indeed.”

After meeting Captain Shultz, Mardusk said “Admiral. This is Ensign Gallagher, Security Team Leader.” and the Admiral looked at Frank. “You have a fine presence, Ensign. Warrior at heart. I can tell.” and extended his arm to Frank.

Admiral Drakenol

Ian came up behind Shultz, he had been prepping for this event ahead of time to assist the diplomacy for Kelly. Looking around Ian caught up with them as he heard Mardusk speak. He kept silent for now but leaned over and looked at Kelly. He smirked as he looked at his PaDD and sent her a message. So, you ready for our second wedding? It is going to be more traditional than ours.

Bordeaux, Yeoman/Diplomat

Kelly looked at her PaDD and tried to keep a straight face reading Ian’s message. I need to to be white not red for that. So not happening tonight there Hero, Kelly typed back. “So shall we head to the wedding location,” she suggested out loud.

Captain Kelly Shultz

T’Kor nodded. “Yes, of course. And thank you for taking us on at such short notice, Captain. Your generosity will not be overlooked.” and he turned and yelled across the shuttle bay “Unload everything! Get it to the…” and then realized he didn’t know where the actual ceremony was taking place. Turning to Shultz, he said “Oh, where is the ceremony? We have a few… odds and ends… we brought with us for the festivities.”

Admiral Drakenol

“Everything,” Kelly said then gave a side glance to Ian. Admittedly she had not ever been to a Klingon wedding but Ian should have filled her in on the possibility of what everything could be. She soon had a visual to wonder how much this everything was. Everything? What are we doing? Taking you to raise, her mind asked Drakenol as she watched the Klingons move about as they unloaded and answered his question. “We are hosting it in the lounge but my XO has everything set up. Maybe we should see if it is to your specifications before we drag out all your....ecounterments,” she said trying to be as diplomatic as possible. Diplomacy was Ian’s department and friend of Mardusk or not, Kelly was not letting these boxes out of the shuttle bay until they were thoroughly scanned regardless of whether it caused a diplomatic incident. The Klingons and the Federations were friends but that didn’t mean a Klingon wedding wouldn’t destroy the venue faster than that perpetual party friend from college who got you either arrested or paying a fine each time they visited.

Captain Kelly Shutlz

“Well the worst that can happen is we have Jacen repair damages… he loves this sort of stuff I think.” Ian said as he smirked at Kelly.

Bordeaux, Yeoman/Diplomat

“Take it all to the Lounge! And don’t you spill that Gagh!” and he turned and looked at Shultz. “We have refreshments for you and your attending crew, Captain.” As he spoke, a large Klingon with one arm came walking out of the shuttle carrying a box under his remaining arm. As he got close, he saw Mardusk and bared his teeth and growled. Mardusk looked at the figure and smiled broadly. “P’kar. Good to see you. You get the gloves I sent you? I know they were late, but I just wanted you to know I didn’t forget your birthday.” and the one-armed warrior started to say something but the Admiral cut him off. “P’kar! DaH!” and the warrior glared at Mardusk and then walked over to the Admiral. Taking the box, T’Kor waved P’kar back to the shuttle. Mardusk watched him, never taking his eyes off of him and never letting the huge smile slide from his face until the figure was back inside the shuttle, at which point Mardusk looked at Gallagher and said “Watch him like a hawk.”

Admiral T’Kor held the box, an ornately carved black wood box emblazoned with the House Seal of Noggra on it, to Shultz. “And a gift from me to you, to thank you for your kindness in accepting us and allowing the ceremony to be held here.”

T’Kor

“Thank you,” Kelly said picking up the box and turning to Ian. She held it out for Ian to hold it so she could open it. Lifting the lid she stared at its content not sure exactly how to thank him.

Captain Kelly Shultz

When the box opened, it revealed two almost identical Dk Tahg. The handles were made of some kid of bone, inscribed with the House Noggra Seal on one side, and a dark emerald green design on the other. The hinged secondary blades were closed on one, open on the other. Each showed a fine edge and point, revealed under a coating of gold. The main blades, open in the middle, were polished to a mirror finish and looked sharp enough to cut you just looking at them. The pommels were a round orb of an obsidian-looking material with prominent silver spikes. Each was nestled in a bed of black silk with red stitching, and leather sheathes were tucked into the sides of the box, each embossed with a profile of the Atlantis and the day’s star date.

T’Kor looked at Shultz expectantly and said with a sarcastic tone and a wide grin “I hope they fit. I was unsure of your size, Captain.”

T’Kor

Mardusk shook his head at the joke and a knowing smile crossed his face. “Ok people. We got a wedding to get to.” Looking at the shuttle as the one-armed P’kar exited carrying a large metal container, Mardusk dramatically waved at him… with the arm he had that P’kar did not. The gesture was not lost on the massive Klingon, whose eyes flared with fury and teeth ground together audibly. Laughing a bit, Mardusk looked at the Admiral and the Captain. “Shall we? I have a feeling the bride and groom want to get this done so they can get to work on their honeymoon.”

Mardusk, CoS
