River walked towards the holodeck she often enjoyed working out in the holodeck it allowed her to control her environment and make it as harsh or as mild as she liked. it also gave her infinite options as to when and where she could train. She war a lose under shirt and a pair of black tracksuit bottoms and her boots. She had opted for a tropical island with ruins, beaches, forests and a town. It gave her a varied terrain to run around and any number of environmental training aids. Once she entered the holodeck she thew her bag and her battered and well used armour down. she planned to do a run in her armour at some point. She attached her canteen to her belt and began her run. She would start with a mild three miles and then progress as she saw fit.
As she began her run River started to think about how best to get to know her fellow officers. she knew the crew was a mixed back but she also knew that good allies where a very good thing to have. she started reeling off the list of names in her head Right so the XO is a Dy’allan, I’ve never served with one of them might be worth a look. The COS is an Orion that could be interesting t just depends on how Orion he really is. i should focus on those two first, then work my way around the rest of the staff. But how do i do that she mused as she ran past the buildings on the hill towards the beach, vaulting over a wall as she went.
