Out of breath, Jessica nearly tumbled into the transporter room. Her first opportunity to be on an away team, she hadn’t quite known how to prepare when Ryley had given the order. Thankfully, she had just stepped out of the shower and was about to get dressed for her shift in Sickbay, so it hadn’t taken her long to put on her uniform and braid her wet hair. A quick stop at Sickbay to collect supplies later and she saw that she was the first to arrive. Oh well, better to look excited, she thought to herself as she twirled a loose piece of hair in her finger. She looked down to check again that she had a medical tricorder as well as a small pack of medical supplies if needed and then leaned against the transporter console to await the rest of the team.
Ensign Lemann
The transporter officer looked up at the ensign for a moment. “We weren’t given any cooridinates for a beam down.” He looked at the scanned map. “There is several open areas I can put you down anywhere.”

GMOOC: Would it make more sense to move this to the docking bay then? Sorry, I was following on Kate’s post about the transporter pad!
OOC: Kate’s post isn’t necessarily wrong. I just wan’t you all to have the head up, if you beam onto a ship that has no idea what transporters are and no be surprised by the reactions. Or maybe they do know. You have to find out.

SEAI poked her head into the room, “While I appreciate the excitement that you all must feel at the moment, I feel as though I must remind you that flashing lights randomly appearing out of nowhere usually sets off the locals even on places that know about transporter technology. We have a few perfectly good shuttles ready to go in the bay, and it would be such a shame for them to keep gathering dust like this.”
