OCC. okay you don’t have to RP this if you don’t want to. I was just trying something past the boring meeting or conference. I am going to set up a scene just to get it started. If you don’t like it please erase what I said about what you were doing and create your own setting. I will role with it. I am doing these all simultaneously so that people have a chance to post if they want to. I also went into your bio and pulled stuff paraphrasing it. I wanted it to seem like Perkins knew of it but allow you to elaborate. If I got anything wrong we can just lead me where you need it to go.~Kate.

Admiral Perkins surveyed the room. Kelly’s crew seemed distinctly loyal but there was always one. One officer that could be tempted to see the benefits of a casual relationship and the perks random updates could bring. Information was always more powerful than weapons. As he surveyed the room Perkins debates where to start. He had the dossiers on everyone. Now it was time to play on the cracks in their armor. Power was all about promises and Perkins was all about promises.

Perkins adjusted his collar wanting to undo it, slide off his shoes, and get drunk reading the many reports on his desk. Knowledge was power and Perkins was all about power. Tonight was going to be all work. He needed to find someone on the crew he could be pen pals with. Scanning the room he saw Lt. Commander Ashlynn Summers. The medical chiefs career was impeccable. Her personal life was far less stellar. In fact officers like her and Nash tended to be the easiest to convert. They often were driven somewhere deep inside by revenge. Revenge against those that wronged them. In Nash’s case it was complex but in Summer’s case it was easy. It was all about her ex-husband Gary Waters. Perkins had no idea how to find him but the promise of being able to was powerful and Perkins was all about the impossible promise.

“Lt. Commander,” Perkins walked up to Ashlynn. “Your daughter is going to love this new ship,” he said with a smile. “I am not sure how but Ian did it but you got the upgraded entertainment package from OMAP. I also heard there was going to be an ice rink. God I hate you Kelly going to change her name the next time you meet a hot tart Bordeaux I think that is creative and fun. Tell me how old is your daughter....Allie I think her name was,” Perkins took a sip of his drink.

Perkins

Ashlynn looked up “She’s six. Why?” Ash asked hesitant to discuss her daughter with anyone that she really didn’t know “I saw the specifications of the new ship and I’m sure she will like it.” Ashlynn said not particulary liking Perkins demeanor “What are your thoughts on the new ship?” She asked taking a drink of her water.

“I think it will be a fine ship for the right crew under the right commander,” Perkins looked around the room. “It is a much larger vessel. It also has a large percentage of civilians. Starfleet is required to vette all personal on a ship but they tend to get sloppy at times when they are civilians. I mean they are Federation citizens and not terrorists or fugitives nor are they allowed access to sensitive areas on the ship so in the end it really doesn’t matter I guess....right,” Perkins let his voice trail off some. He only wanted to spark a flash of doubt not create a panic. Still her husband Gary Waters had not been located to the best of his knowledge. Perkins had far more resources as an Admiral to help hunt down Waters and make him pay for what he had done to Ashlynn. The choice was how much was she willing to pay to sleep at night safe with the thought Gary Waters was actually locked up in a penal colony somewhere.

Perkins

Ashlynn glanced at Perkins “I don’t think its an issue having civilians on board and Captain Bordeaux does a good job working with civilians and first contacts alike.” She said as Ali came up in a cute pink dress “Mommy, can I play with Mabelle. We’re bored.” She said and Ashlynn nodded “Just stay in this room.” She said to her daughter. Ali looked at Perkins and her brow furrowed and she stepped back to just behind Ashlynn, as she stared at Perkins.
