“Revna, I don’t like it.” Runa huffed. She paced across the room getting an amused side-eye from her sister. She grabbed a throw blanket from the back of the chair and shaking it out set it over Revna.
“Have you HEARD the rumors about that man? It’s…it’s….” and Runa huffed again. “He’s NOT for you. I mean, tall-dark-brooding. I get it, the man has the look down, but really?”
“I mean I know you’re a counselor, and people talk to you, but the gossip. You don’t hear that. People don’t talk about gossip to counselors.” She glanced over at the amused and disbelieving snort that came from her sister’s direction. “I’m a civilian. People don’t worry about how I’m going to tell. I have nothing to gain by telling anyone the gossip. The man has a list of women that would rival Freyr’s. I don’t want you being on that list.”
Runa just looked at Revna like she’d grown 3 extra heads. “Well yes and that’s fine for me. But you deserve….more than that. That’s fine for HIM. But not you.” Runa was going to have a talk with this man. Her sister could barely breathe. He needed to keep his amorous intentions to someone else. Runa had no problem with the kind of relationships, or lack there of, the man engaged in. But Revna was OFF limits. That’s just how it was going to be. “Doesn’t he know you’re injured?!”
“You aren’t a one night stand.” How could Revna not see what she was saying to her?
Runa turned around from the replicator and stared at Revna. “Oh you do do you? And what exactly is that?”
