Ashlynn was sitting at her desk and going through messages. Catching sight of one that she did not want to see or deal with, however, it was flashing red which meant that it had been marked urgent. Sighing she clicked to open it , it was from her divorce attorney. Her divorce from Gary had been finalized several years earlier and he was still in prison for the attack on her and attempted kidnapping of Ali. Waiting for the message to load, she took a drink of coffee and then turned back to the email.
Gretchen wrote the standard greeting “Hi Ashlynn, I know it’s been a while since we last talked. I was hoping that we would not have to be in communication again, however, I needed to inform you that Gary was killed in a prison riot and he named you as his sole heir and some how he had managed to accumulate a fair sum and it would go to her and Ali. Ashlynn looked at the information again and then leaned back in her chair and was thoughtful and then responded ~Thanks for the information Gretchen. You have my account information. Just transfer the credits to that account. Please send my condolences to his parents.~. She hit the send button and closed her messages down.
She looked up at the door and headed out to main sick bay to start her day. She would need to get inventory done but that would wait until later in the day.
