Revna nodded pleased that at least the heads of the two groups could come to an understanding. She was sure it wasn’t easy but at least they weren’t both in the brig or sickbay or up on report. “Alright. Come on.” Revna stood up and walked to the door and then turned to wait for him. It was time for to release some of the tension and exhaustion.
Lt Edman, counselor

Mardusk looked at her confused for a moment. “Come on where? ‘Cause I have headache bigger than your whole body and I just want a beer or ten.”

Mardusk, CoS

“Exactly. We’ll go to Mike’s place. I understand he’s a friend of yours, though I’ve yet to meet him.” Revna had been avoiding the chaos of Mike’s place on purpose, but she figured she couldn’t avoid it forever. “I’ll pay him to lock the doors, we’ll have a few drinks or 50, flip some tables, roar to the gods, and then pass out. Tomorrow I’ll deal with the rest with this....” and she muttered something in ancient Scandinavian, but the tone would clearly indicate she was not happy. “Come on, I doubt I can drink you under the table, but I’ll give it a go.”

Mardusk smiled and stood up. “Well, he won’t close up… but I do have a standing reservation at the bar. C’mon. Mike’s a guy I think you may like very much.” and he came around the desk and walked towards the Counselor.

Revna grinned, she’d been told that quite a bit. Runa liked him, had met him at some opening party. She’d been too eager to avoid the very large and very loud crowd that usually filled Mike’s bar to find out. No time like the present.

“Know anything about punk rock, Doc?” he asked as they walked towards the turbo lift.

Mardusk, CoS

“Indeed I do. Though it’s been many years since I’ve had the chance to appreciate it.” Doc no one had called her that in awhile, it brought back fond memories. Though an accurate moniker, most people didn’t see counselors as doctors. “I take it Mike likes punk rock?” She palmed the control, summoning the lift.
Lt Edman, Counselor

“Likes it?” Mardusk said as they moved into the lift. “Honey… he was the bassist for Government Kills. You know… a few years back they did ‘FedSec Fascists’ and everybody lost their minds over it? First punk song in over a hundred years to make it on the Federation Top 100? That’s Mike. And if you like to drink… his is the place to go.” The doors slid open and Mardusk led them to the doors of the bar.

She, of course, knew that one. There weren’t many people who wouldn’t, even if they didn’t listen to punk rock. Now Revna liked punk rock, but didn’t love it. Basically meaning she could listen to it as much as needed and enjoy it, but would never be able to name a band, artist, or song.

As the doors opened, they were drowned in the middle refrains of ‘Seasonal Patriot’ by Far From Finished. Mardusk led them inside and to the bar. There were a few people inside, and Mardusk nodded to one or two. Making his way to the bar, he went to a particularly oversized stool and took a seat, patting the stool next to him for the Counselor to take for herself.

Mardusk had his own stool. Oh, Revna already liked Mike. For a man that was always judged for his size, that was a nice touch. She looked around at the stickers and spotted one on the far wall way up and from the design Revna just knew her sister had put it there. She shook her head with a grin. “I can see why my sister loves this place.”

“Oi! Who you gotta beat to get a drink in here?” the Orion shouted to the doorway behind the bar.

Mardusk, CoS

She waited for someone to come by. Also according to her sister they had Viking Blod.
Lt Edman, Counselor

The door swung open and a truly impressive sized human man walked out. Standing well over six feet tall and weighing well over three hundred pounds (and not fat by any stretch) Big Mike glared at Mardusk.

He was SCOTT! Revna grinned, if the last name was anything, or he was a Viking. Either way Revna loved it!

“Yuu damn well better have come to apologize, you overgrown asparagus-looking p%$#k.” Mardusk held up his hands and said “I am here on Doctor’s orders.” and he jerked his head towards Revna.

Revna looked from one to the other, “Wait…No…Mardusk I don’t believe it. You were IN the fight?”

“I stopped the fight. It was already going when I got here. Joey Bag O’Doughnuts here just likes to hold a grudge.” Mardusk replied and cast a glance at Mike.

“Holding grudges is bad for your blood pressure. Unless of course you intend to do something about those grudges.” Revna glanced from one to the other, “Oh yeah I get it now.” And left it at that, a grin crossing her features.

Big Mike looked at her and simply grunted. He pulled an empty pitcher from under the bar and filled it from an actual tap; then he turned and opened a large refrigerator and pulled out a brown ceramic bottle. He slid the pitcher to Mardusk and set the Viking Blod in front of her. He looked at the Counselor and said “You look like your sister.” as he started wiping down the bar.

Big Mike

Revna laughed, “I would hope so.” She eyed the bottle grabbed it, popped the cork in a swift practiced move and turned to Mardusk with a grin. Raised the bottle and then setting it to her lips, tipped it up and drank, a lot, for a woman her size. She set the bottle down after a minute or so, a good portion of the contents gone.
Lt Edman, Counselor

Mardusk looked at her and nodded approvingly. “I do like me a woman who can hold her liquor.”

Mardusk, COS

“Uh huh, stop being a light weight, get to drinking.” She tipped the bottle up again, and honestly if one didn’t know she could be drinking water, or maybe soda.

Mardusk simply reached around Mike and refilled his pitcher.

Mike set another bottle in front of Revna and said “You’re taken, and I like ‘em more.” and then leaned on the bar between Revna and Mardusk. “So… are you single?” he asked with a slight grin.

Big Mike

Revna set the bottle down leaned foward, chin in hand and grinned. “Single?” She gave Mike a good once over, took in the area behind the bar, shook her head as she took another sip of the mead. “Yeah I’m single, but you couldn’t handle me, Mike.”
Lt Edman, Cousnelor

Mike grinned back and said “Oh, you think so?” and he laughed heartily. “Care to put your money where your mouth is? Two dates. Dinners. I cook one, you the other. If you think after that I can’t, I’ll go on my merry way. But if you don’t think that… well… we can see where we go from there.” and he stood up and stuck out a large hand.

“So? Is it a bet?”

Big Mike

Revna sat back and crossed her arms and devilish smile on her face. “That’s not fair to you Mike. And I do have a reputation to uphold.” She took the bottle, finished it and uncorked the next.

Gravel watched the exchange and just shook his head and took a long drink from the pitcher. Wiping his lips, he said “Now that is an approach I have never seen. Betting a girl to date you… well, Mike… you are certainly an original.” and he took another drink.

Mardusk, CoS

“It wouldn’t be the first time a man has dared me to date them. To date I’ve never lost a bet. My sister has though.” She eyed Mardusk, “We need some kind of even measure here. Your mug is bigger than my bottle.” She glanced back at Mike. “You should know what you are getting into before you offer than hand. You might want to speak to Odinson first.” Now that was dangerous. D’Vash knew FAR too much, but mostly about her sister. “Plus Dinner is tame.”
Lt Edman, Cousnelor

Mardusk just smiled and said “And my beer is stronger than yours. It evens out the mass difference. Now drink.” and he took a long pull.
