Evrilla opened the calculator app on her PADD, going through a series of equations that looked more complicated than they truly were. “I’d ask you to wait 3 hours before starting Vertazine once the Liticase clears. You’d be able to stop and start cold, as long as you aren’t layering motion sickness meds. Every 48 hours would be standard, and you’d get notifications.”

“So I would take it at 1900 tonight then? Do I come here to take it or do I take the hypo with me?” Cara made a note to make sure she had nothing going on from 1600 hours on. She knew from experience once the meds wore off the space sickness would return with a vengeance. She’d call it an early night.

“Ah, if you aren’t worried about the effects you can take the hypo to your room, but if you feel that you need the supervision of a medical professional you can stay in the back of sickbay.” Evrilla had never been spacesick, so she wasn’t certain which option Cara would take. Evrilla quickly checked the time, then nodded. “1923 tonight, just to be safe.”

“I’m pretty comfortable giving myself a hypo and I’ve never had problems with medicines. I am allergic to all seafood, so as long as there is no risk there I’ll take it with me.” Cara was really hoping this would work for her, it would make a huge difference for her. Then she took a deep breath, “So what’s next, Doc?”

Bump

Evrilla pulled out the hypo, offering it to Cara. “You can take that and set an alarm. I’ll send a message 15 minutes after to make sure you remember.”
-CMO Evrilla

Cara took the hypospray and laughed, “I donna think I’ll forget but once. Space sickness is no my idea of fun.” She made sure she knew what dosage to set the hypo to and then slid it into her pocket. “A’right doc, what else do I need ta do for my physical?”

O’Farrell, CNS

Evrilla blinked sheepishly. “Ah, the scan has run… I’m afraid I got terribly sidetracked. My apologies.” She pulled out the results quickly, perhaps more quickly than she would usually. “Everything reads clear, so you’re free to go. I’ll update your status tonight.”
-Evrilla, CMO
