Over six months had gone by since Madison had left the USS Europa to return to Bajor to finally deal with the family situation that had never been fully dealt with mostly because Madison had no idea that there was any family left. While she had been on the Europa she had received a message from someone named Yazi Opie stating that she was Madison’s aunt and that Madison’s baby sister Risyu had survived the massacre. This news had rocked Matty’s world and left her in a deep depression. She left the Europa and returned to Bajor to meet this newly found sister and family.Her parents had left money that she didn’t know about with Yazi and Yazi had been trying to find Madison since she was a child, but once Madison had been adopted by the Sullivans, she became a ghost in the wind. Yazi had finally found Madison and they had spent three months working out the logistics of the estate and once that was done, Madison had returned to Earth and her parents home to have some R&R before returning to active duty.
When she was finally ready to return, she had taken a different career path and had become an tactical officer. She had worked with several tactical officers to become certified, and while engineering remained her first love, she had developed a second love that could meld with engineering, it also allowed her to use her brain to work out situations to the benefit of the crew and ship.
So…Madison found herself in a shuttle heading to the USS Atlantis. She had heard many things about this ship and it was an exciting new challenge for her, this was her first assignment as a tactical officer and she had been reading up on the capabilities of the Atlantis during her three day trip to meet up, now the ship loomed in front of them and she opened a hailing channel =^= Shuttle Artemis to USS Atlantis, request permission to come aboard.=^= She waited for a response from the ship.

The Comm panel lit up and the sound of the response from the Atlantis came in. The voice was low, almost gruff. It sounded distinctly like the person speaking had something wedged between his teeth.
=/\= Shuttle Artemis this is the Atlantis. Your transponder codes check out, right on time. You are cleared to come aboard. Welcome to the Atlantis. =/\=
With that, the Comm shut off and back on the Atlantis, the Bridge Duty Officer at that moment leaned back and took the stub of the cigar out of his mouth. “Lower the shields,” Nash ordered Ops, “and alert the docking bay we have an arrival.”

=^=Thank you.=^= Madison said as the shuttle lined up with the bay. Once aboard, she waited for the hatch to open and once her boots hit the deck and felt the pulse of the engines she gave a sigh “Welcome home.” She said quietly to herself.
