Despite having served on ships for quite some time since transferring from the Marines, Jacen still wasn’t completely comfortable walking the sterile corridors. Stepping off the turbolift he silently made his way past various collections of his crewmates en route to the COS’s office. After smoothing the front of his uniform jacket, he pressed the door chime and waited to be summoned inside.Jacen Flexwood (Sec)
“He’s not there, you know.” a voice said from behind him.
Standing at the duty station outside the office was a Bolian woman in the gold uniform of Operations of which Security was a part. Lieutenant Junior Grade pips sat on her collar. “What do you need, Chief?” she asked.
Security OOD
Flex frowned slightly when he’d heard the first comment, before turning to the Bolian JG. “Hello Lieutenant, I’m a new arrival reporting for duty. Trying to check off the boxes and jump through the obligatory hoops so that I can start doing my job.” He said matter-of-factly.
“Do you know when the boss will return? Or if I’m supposed to seek him out elsewhere? I suppose I could ask the computer, but that seems a bit invasive for something as mundane as greeting a new NCO.” He said with a hint of humor leaking into his tone.
