“Really? I can?” Sowyn asked putting her hand out again to take the hypo.

“I don’t tend to say things I don’t mean. Call it a character flaw.” He handed her the device and showed her the ridge.

Feeling her neck for the spot he had showed her, she placed the hypospray against her skin. “Can you check I placed it right, please?” She was polite, but her tone was intense and filled with concentration.

~Sowyn

He checked and frowned slightly giving the device a little tap upwards just a bit. “Go for it.” He said putting a hand out to steady her in case she swooned.

Concentrating really hard, Sowyn depressed the hypo and she heard the telltale hiss. When it had finished, she removed it and grinned. “It worked!” She offered the hypospray back to Ryley with an elated grin before looking at Dalaira. “Your turn.”

“Can I do yours too?”

Dalaira smiled at her charge. “Oh, sure, but only if Dr. Ryley says it’s okay.”

~Dalaira & Sowyn

Ryley shrugged slightly as he helped the young girl off the bio bed and recalibrated once again, “Why not, not like it’s irresposible to allow unlicensed 9year olds practice medicine.” He nodded at the rolling chair. “Go get that to stand on shorty.”

Sowyn grinned and moved off to grab the chair..

As the girl went off to get it he waved his hand at the biobed in a sort of ‘after you’ gesture and waited for the woman to make herself comfortable before turning his tricorder onto her.

Dalaira slipped up onto the biobed gracefully and seemed pretty rela

“Anything you want to report health wise, no dizzy spells, fevers general aches and pains?”

She shook her head. “No, nothing of the sort. I have been quite healthy on this ship, for which I’m very thankful.” Dalaira was considered middle age for a Dy’allan, but that was without factoring in the advanced medicine the Federation had. Who was to say how long she might live, even if she were to return to Satalla sometime soon.

~Dalaira and Sowyn

Ryley hummed and fought the urge to lol his eyes slightly as he did whenever anyone offered any sort of comment on gratitude. As He waited for the smaller Dy’allan to rejoin them he reached for a tray of instruments and opened another tricorder which he calibrated then handed over to her when she was in position. His own, much battered and heavily modified device he kept a firm hold of.

“Right. Take the tricorder and pick a point to begin your scan. Because you know what a heart rate should be try the cardiovascular areas. Careful not to accidentally intercept the scanner that will screw your results.”

Ashlynn arrived for her duty shift and nodded to Alexx as she went to one of the computers to see what else was scheduled for the afternoon. She didn’t have anything specific scheduled, but didn’t know what may have come up.
