Kai was very interested as he stepped in the room. The colorful office was something far different from anything he already saw! The colors blends so well, and everything seems… harmonious.
In particular the console attired his attention and was already seeking the components and the function of such console… “Oh wow…” he whispered knowing he was being awkward.“The console is for background noise or music. Soothing if you prefer or powerful and edgy if that suits your mood. Feel free to pick what is preprogrammed or program your own.”
Returning to a behave normally and not like a geek, then the CSO introduced himself “Lieutenant Kai Oliver Kingstone. I may apologize for my intrusion, Lieutenant, but I came for a check-in. It is that possible? I haven’t had any since my boarding here…” he kept around and noticed the woman’s feminine figure in front of him “Miss…?” He fainted the question for her name.
“Please have a seat Lt. I’m Lt. Revna Edman. “
Lt. Edman, CounselorTaken a seat on a sack sofa, Kai was uneasy in front of the Counselor. In the end it wasn’t nothing new but the fact that he would have passed the next 30 minutes with the Lieutenant made everything so teasing and so embarrassing.

Revna nodded, and pulled a PaDD out of a pocket of a overstuffed lounge chair as she sat down. “Well from your file all of your psychological tests are up to date for another year. So we can run the standard tests or have a little chat.” Revna got up and walked over to the replicator, “Would you like anything?” The Lt seemed very nervous but most people were that came to her office.
Lt Edman, Counselor
“Something? I need something....?” He immediately straightened his head up “Yes to be honest. Could I get some Sicilian Chinotto? It would be awesome with a couple of ice cubes and an orange slice.” He smiled “It helps me… Relax. To be honest I came here for a general test of my sanity and maybe to chat a bit with the new counselor of the ship. It is not something of all day to see a new member aboard this lady.” He referred at the Lantis “And to be honest,” he listed on his starboard side (Ahaha, ship’s jokes… ok nope) “I love knowing new people. Like you perhaps.”
Experiments, bechers, PaDDs, Isolinear chips. Those were the only things he truly knew. But perhaps it wasn’t enough for such moments! And last time he truly talked about his problems was on the Endeavor. So it was really something he needed to do, a check-in. Even if it mean that he could not talk about his beloved Magnetic-Injected Bose-Einstein Thrusters or about the newly Relè project he was working on.Lieutenant Jr. grade Kai O. Kingstone - CSO
Revna put the order into the computer. She took the drinks and handed Kingstone his, “One Sicilian Chinotto with ice and an orange slice.” She took her drink and sat back down in her chair. “A test of your sanity?” Revna nodded thoughtful for a moment. “Well do you know your name, date of birth, and your current position?”
“I guess I do.” He sipped some of the Chinotto, licking his lips as some spilled again in the glass “Kingstone, Kai Oliver. Born the 21st April 2371 on Mars Colony 2. I am actually the CSO aboard the ship and apprentice cook.” He smiled as he replied to the questions.
“Do you know the name of your ship and your captain?” She smiles waiting for the answer. “What do you love most about your position on Atlantis?”

Kai took another ship, and then another again. After a brief pause he chuckled and commented “I don’t know why I am taking this long pause. It is fairly simple. My current posting is the USS Atlantis NCC-97022. The Captain commanding the beauty is Mrs. Kelly Bordeaux, rank Fleet Captain.” Moving on what he loved about his position Kai haven’t really replied before to this question… and indeed it was the first time he was thinking about it “What I love about my job? I should say everything. Being the CSO of the ship involves me into every kind of anomalies and weird alien looking things. It permit me to use all the labs without asking no one if I can use them and indeed I can build lot if prototypes while using my beloved science… But most of all is the fact that I can teach my subordinates my knowledge and have fun.... When I was a JO, I always admired the CSO position and wished one day that it would have been mine! Now it is and I really love it.”
