Revna nodded, Markeson had a clear head on her shoulders, at least while she was calm. She had no way of knowing about stressful situations yet. She knew what she wanted, knew her weaknesses and how to deal with potential personal problems. “Alright, Lt. Last thing. Any skeletons in your closet you need to tell me about that would affect you personally or professionally? Before I find them in your record?” Revna always thought it was better if the person choose to tell her themselves. Not that she expected trust in her, but to trust themselves to allow the opportunity to be forthright so those skeletons wouldn’t affect their careers later on.

Angelina thought for a moment. “Not that I can think of. I mean, unless you want to know I turn into a huge scaredy cat if I see spiders. Another reason for space. Rarely a chance of seeing one up here. At least, so far,” she laughed lightly. “Honestly I can’t think of anything that would be in my record that we haven’t discussed or will bite me in the backside later.” She was wracking her brain trying to think of anything, but other than the spiders, nothing came to mind.

“For me, it’s worms,” Revna shuddes a little. “I grew up on the shores of the sea. We fished a lot, I can’t stand worms. And we used those for bait a lot. Creepy wriggle things and their…” she shudders again. “Well Lt. I think we’re done. If you do think of anything I should be aware of, you know where to find me. I’ll have my report finished in a couple of days.”
Lt. Edman, Counselor

Angelina smiled. “I’ve never been fishing. But I don’t think worms bother me. I mean, I doubt I would want to go walking thru a mire of them, but on the face, I don’t mind them.” She laughed. “I promise no holo programs with worm fishing involved when I ask you to join me for some relaxing times. How’s that?” She laughed lightly and shook her head. “Is there anything else I should know about the ship or crew to do my job better? I mean, I know you can’t tell me about individual issues, I wouldn’t expect that cause it doesn’t impact me. But I mean as a whole? Things to be on the lookout for as a security officer.” She wasn’t sure if she was making any sense, but she had to ask.

Revna smiled genuninly, “Sounds good, Lt. And if you have a problem with a spider, let me know, I’ll come take care of it.” Revna sat back, tapping her finger on the arm of her chair. “I would say, first to remember Atlantis is HUGE and there are almost as many civilians on this ship as Federation officers. There are a lot of families on board. So the dynamic is different than what you typically think of when you consider a ship staffed only by federation officers. I’ve only been here a short time, so this is based on what I’ve been told, but I have seen it is true. Atlantis is a place for those looking to find their way. The crew is close knit and everyone has their own story of how they got here. And somehow with what appears a mismatch of personalities, this is one of the most accomplished and formidable crews in the entire fleet.”

Revna’s Psychological Report for Lt. j.g. Angelina Markeson, Security Department

Angelina Markeson is a bright, ambitious young officer. She has a steady head on her shoulders and is aware of how other percieve her and how that may change how she approaches situations. She is actively aware of place in maitaining the safety and security of her crew, ship, and the Federation. She has had limited experience. Her previous postings have been calm and lacking in an opportunity to grow and increase her breadth of knowledge. However this lack of experience, instead of making her complacent and overly sure of herself, has made her eager to learn more and seek out assignments that will improve her skills, not only as a member of the security team but also as a Star Fleet officer over all. Markeson has strong instincts and a very analytical mind, that can often create her to second guess herself. It is my professional opinion that Markeson is fit for duty and should be provided as much varied training opportunities as possible, as the more she is given and the wider the variety of experience the greater her skills and performance will become. “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn-Benjamin Franklin”

Angelina nodded. “I’ll be sure to call you if I see a spider. Hate to let it out I can’t handle it myself,” she laughed lightly.

“I promise not to tell why you called me.”

As the woman explained the depth and breadth of the makeup of the ship, Angelina was truly impressed. “I can definitely see where a well rounded security makeup is crucial here. It’s not just officers and cadets we deal with, but civilians as well. I’ll be sure to make sure I’m ready for anything that comes up. As to the size,” she smiled. “That works for me. I like to walk, and run, so having more than a dozen decks to do that on will be able to keep me busy on my off time as well. And you meet the most amazing people when you just wander around.” She smiled and was actually looking forward to her nightly walks to see who she could come across.

“You’ll have plenty to do then. I think you’ll fit in well here, Lt. Late night walks, well late or early shift walks for that matter are always a good way to meet people. Oh and watch out for kids. I have been told that apparently the older elementary children have made it their mission to find all the secrete passages on the ship and randomly pop up to annoy the security and tactical officers. So be forewarned,” Revna thought to add that in there. She had a feeling that Angelina might actually be good for some of those kids. For her part the session was over. Revna had everything she needed, but if Angelina wanted to chat, Revna was happy to do that.
Lt. Edman, Counselor

Angelina laughed but it was nervous. “I think I will stick to late night walks, then. I am not sure how good I would be around children.” She laughed. “I tend to find myself more as one than disciplining them. How do you handle them when they get uppity like that?” She wasn’t sure how to deal with children, never having had to. She knew they couldn’t be yelled at or scorned like adults, so it would be another interesting thing for her to learn.
