Koria came in wiping some grease off of her hands with a rag. “Hopefully this will be quick, or the engines might never get repaired.”

Lt Sutret - CE

Rebecca came in just behind the Engineering Chief and nodded to the Captain, “Ma’am..” she moved to her seat. She, like the Chief Engineer, looked ragged. She hadn’t gotten to the holodeck yet, having been called to here, but she and Sutret had been going over possibilities for what was happening to the ship.

Braxton had shortly followed behind and sat next to the Caotain’s left.

Harris, XO

“I won’t be keeping you all long, I just wanted five to ten minutes so we can share information and prepare adequately,” Freja replied, “There’s a lot of information running around and with the chaos, it’s been hard to consolidate where everyone is and what everyone knows about what happened, so I felt a face to face meeting, however brief, would help alleviate some of that.”

~Freja Andreassen~

“Captain, if you don’t mind I’d like to provide a brief update and then ask a question - these are primarily of a security perspective.”

“Systems identified 7 crewmembers missing, but so far Security teams have not been able to locate anyone. Because of the hazardous situation, they are currently equipping hazmat protocol to continue the search further into the affected area. That said, as the search area condenses, I believe we should consider the possibility that these officers are no longer aboard the ship. Scans haven’t picked up anything in the area - yet - that could be the crewmembers, as far as I’m aware.” Hugo mostly looked down at his PaDD, listing the missing officers - most of whom were in his department - as he spoke.

His forehead wrinkled, “I do not have a science background. Here’s my question: what is our capacity to perform more focused scans of the exposion area to expedite the search - specifically looking for biological material? And, with the thinking that this anomaly was…” he searched a bit, “more than just an explosion… Are we able to conduct any scans to determine if a transport took place, or something comparable?”

-Hugo, CoS/CNS

“That is definitely something I’d like teams who aren’t engaged in repairing our systems to look into,” Freja nodded, pleased at the forethought of her COS, “I’m hoping the Markham will help as well, there’s a mild concern based on some unprofessional chatter heard on my comm call with the Captain, but I’m hoping it’s just an overzealous crewman who hasn’t learned to school their attitude for the bridge. To that end, I’d like to arrange it so we have adequate personnel repairing our ship as well as everyone else coordinated into the tasks of finding out whether these crewmen were transported somewhere or simply sucked out into the vacuum of space when the anomaly tore into the ship. Let’s start with you, Lt Sutret. Where are we at with repairs? Would you like us to reposition personnel who have an engineering aptitude temporarily to assist?”

~Freja Andreassen~

Koria tucked the rag into her pocket.

“Well getting internal sensors working in the area are pretty far down on the list. Damage control teams are still assessing the damage, but we will need a spacedock to get the Chimera back to 100% Captain.

“Right now, I can probably give you one impulse engine. Engine 4 is looking like it took the least amount of damage. I’m hoping we can do a test startup within a couple of hours, and maybe another day or so to finish checking over all of the systems. Engine 2, well obviously we will need to completely replace. Engine 1 took the most damage from the explosion, and without a spacedock could be months before it is functioning again. Engine 3 took considerable conduit damage, and almost all of the relays are overloaded. Give me a week and we might be able to get it working.

“Getting some help to clear the damaged areas would help in getting the systems evaluated faster. But, we aren’t going to be going anywhere quickly Captain.”

Lt Sutret - CE

“The main plan is to try and limp to the nearest spacedock, if we can get engine 4 working nicely that will help. The Markham might be able to tow us back to dock as well,” Freja nodded, “If the rest of you have members of your staff that can be redirected temporarily to assist in cleaning up damage, send them to Lt. Sutret. I think the rest of us will need to focus on the following,” she cleared her throat, “We need to determine what we hit, science, is there any data from the time of the upset?”

~Freja Andreassen~

Rebecca spoke up then, “Sir, if I may, I’d like to keep assisting the Engineering Chief. See if we can figure out what happened so we have a better idea what we are looking for in the debris. And make sure it doesn’t happen again.” There wasn’t much scientific work that needed going right now so she hoped her request wasn’t out of the realm of possibilities at the moment.

Braxton listened as the department reports were coming in. His mind had wandered off towards the seven crewmembers who were missing on his first Command posting.

Harris, XO

“Very well, Lieutenant, but you need to appoint someone in your department to run point on scientific issues then,” Freja replied, “We couldn’t seem to get answers from anyone in your department while we were running reports on the bridge and the fact that there might have been something…anomalous to study in the sensor data at the time of the accident, we need someone who is willing to work on that problem while you are off assisting engineering. I need someone focused on diagnosing anything that we might want to watch for and avoid outside of the ship, have them present themself to Commander Braxton within the hour.”

She paused briefly, “The Markham registered a spike in energy around us at the time of the upset, we need to figure out what it was and why it happened. It could’ve been a malfunction on our end or it could’ve been something external to the Chimera, at this stage, we need to figure out what that is and I’m not comfortable just assuming that it was something internal in engineering at this stage. Anyone else have other things to report?”

~Freja Andreassen~

=^=Helm to Captain Andreassen, the Arkham has increased their speed and will be arriving in approxiametly 20 minutes. =^= Nick called out.

“I have nothing else to report Captain. I would like to accompany, personally, whoever is going into the as of yet unexplored area of the anomolous event. If the officers are still on the ship, they are likely there. With your permission, I would like to leave now and suit up to go down there myself.” Hugo had sat his PaDD on the table and was wondering what the situation was in the Medical Bay. He would like the CMO to accompany him, if possible, or at least a team of medical providers. He was concerned not only about the injuries, but what mental health concerns might arise in the missing officers. It hadn’t been that long since the event, but when it came to anomolies you really could not count on time to be steady. He appeared to grind his teeth a bit when thinking about this.
