Rebecca sat at her desk and went over the dozen PaDDs scattered around her as she made sure the cargo was safe, the gear was stowed and the things they needed most were replenished and ready for use. From decon stations and kits, to various level containment containers and sections for force fielding.
Once she had everything in hand, checked off and ready to go, she sent her report to the bridge with a short comm. =^=Science to bridge, we are good to go Captain. All gear and personnel accounted for.=^= She added with a sigh of resignation she couldn’t keep out of her voice, =^=Guests included.=^=
She didn’t want to remember, but she had no choice. Jonathan was coming along for the ride whether she liked it or not. To be sure, she had checked with the station to see if there was someone more capable. Even used a couple favors she had. But it hadn’t worked. Jonathan was coming and that was all there was to it. She turned her back to the window looking out into the science bay. She put her feet up on the table behind her and sipped her tea trying to enjoy her last few moments of solitude before the mission called on her to use all the control she had within her… and perhaps find some she didn’t currently have.
