Continuing her exploration of the ship and having just departed the science labs Ella now found herself walking into engineering. It held a different atmosphere to most of the ship and besides the bridge she suspected this was either the busiest or second busiest location on a routine day. She was searching for the chief engineer, that’s who she was here to see but getting to know any of the engineering crew wouldn’t hurt. She walked slowly through the room examine different pieces of equipment, crew members working and of course the warpcore. She figured if she hung around long enough someone would question her presence.

“Watch out!” someone yelled as a large piece of machinery came rolling through engineering.
A swift as she was Ella quickly moved out of the immediate path and watch the machinery continue toroll, so this was how the other half lived? She thought to herself not realising someone had joined her until they spoke.
“I’d recommend standing to the side and keeping an eye out,” Koria said as pulled a piece of dried lida fruit out of the pouch in her hand, popping it into her mouth. “Can I help you?”

The woman who had spoken to her was similar in height, size and age or at least her appeared age was similar to her own. She was wearing gold and had two gold pips on her collar, she figured this was the person she’d been looking for. “Thanks for the advice, I’ll keep that in mind.” Ella looked back to where the machinery had finally stopped before looking back to the other woman. “I’m Lieutenant Lokaa I’ve just transferred in as the new Chief Security officer and wanted to meet the other department heads” The commotion surrounding the loose machinery caught the Elasian attention again, “Does that happen often around here?”

“That, more then I would like. But the team has gotten pretty good about getting the needed repairs done as quickly as possible,” she said looking over at the where the engineers were pulling the equipment off of the dolly for installation.
“Come on, we can go talk in my office, it is a little bit safer,” she said laughing, leading the way.
As they walked in, Koria grabbed a free stool and pushed it towards Lokaa. She had replaced the traditional desk, and had several work benches surrounding the perimeter of the office. She grabbed another stool and sat down.
“I guess I should introduce myself. Koria Sutret. How are you liking the Chimera so far?”
