Mel’ishka narrowed her eyes for a second then pointed the Phaser at the wall and fired it the red beam lanced out and struck the rock from the blast pattern it was clearly on Kill though Mel’ishka probably did not understand that just yet “This is unlike anything our people have come up with so far…Not to mention I can see his face peeling away” she said pointing to Lieutenant Farrah there was a soft smile on her face as she watched them squirm

GMT Phoenix
Keitah shrieked and closed her eyes when the phaser beam hit the wall. She just knew the woman would be aiming it at them next.

“Maybe if we slowly work ties over time they’ll loosen,” Strong offered, “I doubt we can nonchalantly find something sharp to rub against them,” she glanced around.

“I think our cover is blown,” she added softly, “I don’t know about you, but I don’t want her accidentaly shooting me with that phaser at its present setting.”

~NE Strong~

“Agreed. Let’s try it.” she whispered to her bounded partner. She could feel herself perspiring underneath her disguise.

And with that, NE Torvalds accidentally opened his mouth and bared his actual teeth, if only for a second. Fight-or-flight had a bad way of erasing years of training to the contrary, and that was especially true of an individual who normally worked in a non-combat position.

Lunan glanced warily at the phaser in Mel’iska’s hand and said, “Look, I know this must be confusing, but that weapon in your hand can be dangerous at the setting it’s currently on, let me turn it down, then we’ll talk some more, see if we can’t come to some sort of arrangement.”

-Lieutenant Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

“Oh, please. Listen to him. We can provide you with the information you seek. You have to trust us.”

Naisyr, Counselor

NE Torvalds hoped that that would work to de-escalate the situation.

  • NE Torvalds

“Please, just give me the phaser,” Lunan realised he couldn’t extend his hand, what with the threaded rope tying them together, but put a pleading expression on his face.

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

“Not just yet we need to figure out whose side you are on and what is going on Once we decide if you are trustworthy or not then you MIGHT get your stuff back if not well we will kill you simple as that Who are you guys and why are you here Who do you work for?” she asked pocketing the Phaser for the time being though she was not pointing it at any of them she was actually being relatively safe with it which was at least a comfort

“By the way How do you know the Archeologists and what is your interest in them and what are the High Commandant’s plans?” she asked as she circled them clearly looking very closely any escape attempt would easily be detected

GMT Phoenix

Keitah stopped trying to wriggle free as she observed the woman’s eyes on her.

“We aren’t familiar with the High Commandant, we’re travellers.” Lunan didn’t want to reveal too much too quickly, so kept things simply.

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

“if your not with him then why are looking for the Archeology team I honestly doubt the claim that you are all the same clan and that you all hid your true colors though then again…” she said reaching towards Farrah’s face and pulling the prostetic face down a bit more to look at Farrah’s true skin “I have never seen such a color before nor scales like that” she said a little curious of what was showing of Lunan’s skin

GMT Phoenix

“I assure you were are associated with the archeology team. We were making an attempt to blend in as not to disturb the natural order of things.” She paused thinking of what information she could divulge. “The archeology team were travelers as well, explorers here to observe your culture, not for nefarious reasons but for research purposes. We have no idea about the high Commanding and are not in any way affiliated with them.”

Naisyr, Counselor

‘She’s right,’ Lunan said, ‘We don’t mean you any harm.’

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

“We just want to find our people,” Kyra added softly, “Or at least know what has happened to them.”

~NE Strong~

NE Torvalds nodded. “And, to be clear, I am the only member whose true appearance has scales. We came here far less prepared to incorporate ourselves into your society than the archaeology team, obviously, but we were the ones contacted to check on the team when they went missing.”

  • NE Torvalds

Keitah hoped that their openness would sway the woman into at least releasing them.

Naisyr, Counselor

OOC Post coming soon working on it it will be as soon as i can thank you all for being patient

KG

OOC: This is where the fun begins ;)

-Kieron-

OOC Thank you all for being so freaking patient with me on this Real life can be such a major drag at times

IC

She snapped out of her mesmerization and moved around to what do you mean by Travelers Do you mean from another island? please just be straightforward with me I Promise you…What you say will not leave this room” she said turning she barked in her native language “O oulua e Tuua i matou Ia mautinoa e leai se isi e sau i lenei vaega” the two guards left after they were gone she turned back to the group she walked over “To help urge out straight forward answers!” she said walking up to the XO she pulled at his prostetic and pulled it completely off his face revealing his natural human face underneath what she saw made her recoil in shock “Just what are you?” she asked clearly very very surprised

GMT Phoenix

Torvalds felt the urge to pull at his face, finally removing the false ear lobes on the sides of his head. Of course, his hands were bound, so that was impossible.

  • NE Torvalds

Lunan sighed, “We’re explorers, from space, we were sent on a mission. The prosthetic disguise you just ripped from my face was designed to help me and my crew blend in, just so that you didn’t feel threatened. I am what is called a Bajoran,” he pointed to his nose, wincing slightly at the effort it took with his bound hand, “Hence these facial ridges.”

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

“I…From…Another… You all came from the stars?” she asked in shock “I I will need to discuss this With some of the others…Please If I untie you Can I trust you to remain here in this room so as not to scare and frighten the rest of my people?” she asked clearly trying to regain her composure and control

GMT Phoenix

Torvalds shrugged. “You have taken our communications devices and we have no understanding of our location. An escape attempt seems, at least on its face, foolish.”

He looked around the room.

“I would definitely appreciate the ability to remove the prosthetics keeping my true form disguised. They are uncomfortable.”

  • NE Torvalds

With the minimal use of her empathic abilities she could tell that the woman was at least being sincere. She could also sense some confusion from her and maybe a little bit of fear. “You can be sure we are not hostile.” She gestured her head toward Commander Farrah, “He is our leader. We follow his commands while we are here and you can trust that he will keep everyone under control.”

Naisyr, Counselor

Lunan nodded, “You have my word… as an officer of Starfleet.”

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

she drew a knife and cut the ropes holding the away team “Remain here I will come back and talk to you as soon as i have talked with my fellow rebels I will return in the meantime” she handed Farrah the face prostetic “You may want to try and re apply this if you can so that you can continue to hide in plain sight” she said before turning and walking away without another word

GMT Phoenix

“I’m open to reccomendations on how to get these back on people,” Lunan said, finding himself rubbing his wrists after being released from the restraints.

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

Keitah approached the XO and examined his prostetic. “I think I can help.” she said as she handed it back to him and looked around. “However I need my bag.”

Naisyr, Counselor

“They must have taken our supplies for examination, we’ll have to see how forthcoming our new host is.” Lunan said, straightening himself and starting to see if he could see anything that could help them.

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

Torvalds considered the situation. “The nature of the disguises is such that, for them to have started coming off, they must have been subjected to a certain amount of distress. You can stretch material to reengage the adhesive properties, as far as I am aware, although that, admittedly, is only the case for my disguise, which has so far remained connected to my actual scales.”

  • NE Torvalds

BUMP

-Kieron-

OOC Once again Sorry for the delay

IC

time would pass slowly as the group waited for Mal’i to return. eventually, she would and she had a couple of other Mar’Zek with her they were all carrying the Away Team’s belongings. “Ok so we have decided to give you a chance to practice what your preach, here are your things now as for the Archeologists you are looking for we have reason to believe the High Commandant has taken them. their ship was towed into port badly beaten up, We know where the High Commandants base is we will assist you But you must help us take the high Commandant down he is a tyrant and the Mar’Zek People are tired of it I am the leader of this rebellion will you help us?” she asked

GMT Phoenix

Lunan had to think for a second before answering, “Normally, we follow the guidelines of Space Exploration within the Federation, known as the Prime Directive. This directive prevents us from involving ourselves directly in something that may alter the balance of power in the galaxy, or on any planet. However, if you were to tell us more about what the High Commandant has done to repress your people, there may come a point where we need to overlook those rules.”

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

With the medical kit restored the Medical officer on the team could restore the XO’s Disguise the other Mar’zek all left while Mal’i began to explain “three thousand cycles ago I was…close to the Commandant before he took power there was a cataclysm an object landed on our polar cap the impact was such it melted all the ice causing what little land we had to begin with to shrink myself and the Commandant went to investigate we found the object I told him not to touch it that it could be dangerous but he insisted after that he became mad with power he said the stone taught him things and our technology grew at first he was benevolent, doing it for the good of the people but after a while, things began to change now he enslaves people the Townships of his clan hunt the others and take prisoners to his island base”

GMT Phoenix

“A dictator,” Lunan said with a hint of ire in his voice, “I have… some experience with people like that.”

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

“So will you and your friends help us?” she asked curiously

Phoenix

“We’ll do what we can.” Lunan was well aware that he was making the decision for the away team, but at this point, they had little choice.

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

OOC I am just going to assume someone from medical fixed the XO’s Face prostetic so that we can move forward

IC “Follow me we will show you the intel we have so we can plan this mission” Mal’i said turning to walk out of the chamber

GMT Phoenix

“What more can you tell us about the High Commandant?”

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

he has been gathering people mostly from the ship attacks and are never seen again we believe that he is using them as slave labor but for what we don’t know all we know is that he must be taken out for peace to return he has broken the main tenants of our people he has a group of 7 High Inquisitors they are his closest lieutenants they will be dangerous to take down” she said with a sigh

GMT Phoenix

NE Torvalds sighed slightly. “So, this mission just became correcting a Prime Directive violation, albeit it seems that it occurred in error instead of as a deliberate action by an outside force. I doubt that we could go to the crash site easily, but if it were possible, we may be able to determine how to reverse the ecological damage. Three thousand cycles, though… how many of your cycles represent an orbital period? If you have already fully adjusted to the changes, correcting them now may have even worse of an impact than the original change.”

  • NE Torvalds

“The damage from the Maa Fetu has already been done, my people have adapted and moved on from it as has the wildlife. We live in harmony with nature, it’s why our dwellings and such are constructed the way they are. What we need, is to kill the commandant, and destroy the Maa Fetu.” Mal’i said as she lead them to a table with a bunch of maps the topmost one was of HP-4960Z as a whole. “This is a map of Marza, our world,” she explained.

On the map there were seven islands of varying sizes, she pointed to the smallest and easternmost island. “This is the Stronghold of the High Commandant, where ever he is the Maa Fetu goes, he won’t let it out of his sight or his grasp for even a second. and if he has your Archaeologist Spies, that’s where they would be.”

she pulled out another map, this time of the small island she had pointed to. “This is all the intelligence we have concerning the Commandant’s island, his fortress is built inside of the mountain. there are two entrances, there is the front and the side. the front will be guarded very heavily, the side one provides a stealthy option it is mainly used for supplies to be brought into the mountain. We have no idea what the inside is like, however, so after we get to the island, and enter the mountain we will be in the dark. so how would your people approach this?” she asked quite simply.

GMT Phoenix

“We shouldn’t go straight in all guns blazing, why not try a stealth approach?” Lunan was determined to keep as much of the Prime Directive intact as he could at this point.

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

BOARD BUMP

-Kieron-

Keitah walked pushed her way in between Mal’i and Commander Farrahover then studied the maps for a bit. She wasn’t particularly trained to handle tactical situations but she knew basic common sense when it came to certain tactical strategies. “What timeframe are we working with here? I agree with Commander Farrah, it seems risky just to charge the stronghold, especially if we are going to be in the dark about what lies beyond the walls. We need to find a way to get someone on the inside so we can see what we are really up against.”

Naisyr, Counselor.

Spartacus was uncertain of this plan. Would simply removing the leader actually lead to change. And would that change actually be for the better.

Neidell CSO

“Who says it has to be a person? Do you not have reconnaissance technology?”

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

“Sorry we have not advanced that much don’t you have something you could use?” she asked it might be good idea to see if the Chimera could help plan

GMT Phoenix

Spartacus wasn’t certain about using Starfleet tech to do recon. Wouldn’t that in itself violate the prime directive. And how would that change the development here. Sparty had spent many days studying development through artifacts throughout the alpha quadrant. It was interesting. But he had yet to see it live in person. That would also be an unique experience. But, that was forbidden by Starfleet.

Neidell

“Then we do this without the asssistance of technology, I have always had a fondness for pre-warp human methods of espionage. Unless of course, anyone has any other suggestions?”

-Lt. Commander Lunan Farrah: XO-

OOC I would like to Point out that Damage is done Having the Chimera provide help wont really affect much besides might be good to check in with the ship and let them know your ok :P
