Freja paced the length of the bridge before a thought occurred to her, based on the current information coming back from the surface. If the away team was stuck helping the rebels take the Commandant, the least they could do was provide some help in that regard.

“Can we get sensors on this ‘Commandant’s‘ Palace? Maybe we can give our team some assistance so they can access this palace easier?” She asked her bridge crew.

The Trill NE nodded turning to the sensors she began to scan away tieing herself into the comms so she could feed this info to the away team at the same time

“Scanning the island they are heading for now ma’am” =^=” based on their course The island they are heading two has two mountains one is an active Volcano the other is dormant…I can only give them the first level of this base. looks like the base is inside the non-Volcanic mountain I am tracking the guard patrols and will have a basic idea of their pattern in 5 minutes…”

“The first level of the base looks to be a Large chamber 609 meters long and 304 wide with pillars of some kind every 3 meters in two rows detecting a lot of Gold used in the construction of the room Talk about gaudy!” the trill woman said shaking her head as she continued reading off what her sensors were showing “At the back of this room there seems to be some kind of alter and throne facing this to its left is a double set of doors and what looks like stairs down though i can’t see much beyond that”=^= the trill woman finished

“That’s fine, can we get that data to our people on the surface?” Freja asked.

~Freja Andreassen~

“Already sending it to their Tricorders ma’am!” the NE reported. As she finished her scan Suddenly there was a series of pops sparks and a plum of smoke rising from the console the NE shielding her face with her hands and leaning as far back as she could the sensors going offline due to how jury-rigged they were the Trill officer was luckily unharmed “Well that’s lovely…” she sighed still sitting in her seat

Daneg shook his head from his own station. He was busy trying to make sure that those sensors were functional, and an NE was remarking about the limitations of the data they could get from the sensors. It was a minor irritant - “only” giving the first level was also a way of saying, “Don’t ask for more, I don’t have it,” and Daneg knew that - but still, it was one that he could only just overlook. However, the remark about the choice of decor…

“That much gold with a civilization like this would imply either an extensive hoarding, or…” Daneg had a sobering thought. “What if this commandant has a replicator? I don’t know how he would have gotten it, but gold can be replicated as easily as water. It’s why it has no value on the interstellar market as anything but jewelry and home decor.”

“He might have our missing team and have pilfered some of their technology?” Freja shrugged, “Hopefully the away team can figure that out.”

~Freja Andreassen~

“Continue to monitor what we can from the surface,” Freja replied, “Hopefully this situation will be resolved soon.”

Freja continued to receive reports about what they could glean from the surface, “We should try and get the sensors back online, perhaps in a more permanent manner than before. Do you need extra hands on the problem Chief?” She asked her CE. She was by no means an engineer, but she did have a general understanding of most systems both from her command training and her fighter training. Surely there were others too who might be able to “hold a flashlight” so to speak while the real experts worked.
